Interested in joining Dundee Middle School Competitive Cheer this winter? We’d love to have you!

📣 What is Competitive Cheer?

Unlike sideline cheer, where we cheer at football games, competitive cheer is all about performing routines and competing against other schools! Athletes learn three different rounds that include jumps, motions, chants, tumbling, and stunting.

NO TRYOUTS & NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Whether you’ve cheered before or are completely new, everyone is welcome! We’ll teach you what you need to know!

📅 IMPORTANT DATES & INFORMATION

* Parent Meeting: Monday, November 9 at 4:00 PM
* First Practice: November 9, following the meeting until 6:00 PM
* Regular Practices: Monday–Thursday, 3:00–5:00 PM
* Cost: $100 per cheerleader (includes a T-shirt, sweatshirt, bow, and competition fees)

* December 3 – Hudson
* December 17 – Madison
* January 7 – Ida
* January 14 – Hillsdale

Saturday Invitationals:

* December 19 – Onsted
* January 16 – Saline
* January 23 – Tecumseh

💙 A Few Things to Know!

Competitive cheer requires a bigger time commitment than sideline cheer. With four practices a week and multiple competitions, attendance is extremely important! Every athlete plays an important role in our routines and stunt groups.

However, competitive cheer is also a great opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, make friendships, and be part of a team!

Our Dundee Middle School Cheerleaders are hitting the road tonight as the Vikings take on Ida! 🏈

Come out and support our girls as they cheer on both the 7th and 8th grade teams! We would love to see a big Dundee crowd in the stands cheering right along with us.

The girls put in the work at practice today! 💪💙🤍

We spent part of practice conditioning with planks, push-ups, lunges, squats, high knees, and more. It was a tough workout, but they kept going and encouraged each other along the way. I’m proud of their effort and the way they continue to grow as a team!

What a busy and exciting Homecoming week!! 💙🤍

Our girls kicked things off with some team bonding while decorating signs for our Homecoming float! A HUGE thank you to Stefanie Aultman for not only hosting our team bonding at her house, but also for allowing us to use her truck and trailer for the Homecoming parade. We appreciate you so much!!

We also had our Middle School Homecoming game on Wednesday, and both our 7th and 8th grade football teams brought home the victory over Hudson! 💙🏈 What a great night to cheer on our Vikings!

The girls also had the opportunity to perform at the pep rally in front of the entire middle school, and they did an amazing job! I am so proud of these girls and all of the hard work, energy, and Viking spirit they showed throughout the week.

What a great Homecoming week to be a Viking! 💙🤍

HOMECOMING GAME AND PARADE

Dundee High School will celebrate homecoming festivities this week. The annual homecoming parade will kick-off at 5:00pm Friday from Dundee High School and travel the following route:

South on Barnum, to
East on VanNest to
North on Dunham to
West on Adams to
North on Ypsilanti to
West on Viking Dr. and
Ending back at Dundee HS.

The parade will not travel on M-50, however motorists and others should be prepared and allow for extra travel time as Dundee Police will close some intersections and village streets along the parade route during the event.

Thank you and we wish the best of luck to the Dundee Vikings in their varsity football game against Hudson on Friday. We also hope that students attending the Homecoming dance on Saturday have a safe and enjoyable evening.

Today at practice, we took a little time to “fill each other’s cups.” 🥤💙

The girls wrote kind notes for their teammates, sharing what they appreciate about one another. Every cheerleader went home with a cup full of encouragement to read whenever she needs a boost.

Cheer is about more than what happens on the sidelines. I love seeing these girls lift each other up! 🖤💙
