Legends of the Game - Women's Basketball (2001-02): Under the leadership of former head coach Joli Robinson, the 2001-02 women's basketball program is the only program in school's history to reach the NCAA "Sweet 16," guided by two-time Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Player of the Year Amba Kongolo and the program's all-time leading playmaker in Zakia VanHoose. Along with their record-setting NCAA appearance, NCCU finished the second consecutive season with an undefeated record at home, establishing a 24-game home court win streak, and reached the 20-win plateau for the third time in the past four seasons.

For week two of the and partnership to HELP NORTH CAROLINA STAY HEALTHY, TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY, AND TO MAKE HEALTH CARE BETTER, director of track & field/cross country, Tavius Walker, head coach Jody Brown and assistant coach Paige Phillips, interim head softball coach Cat Tarvin, donor relations coordinator Anita Parker, and external relations assistant Chelsea Brown served meals to the Boys and Girls Club this afternoon by providing lunch to 35 children and staff members. WE RESOLVE. TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY.
