Hi everyone! It's that time of year again where we are forced to count every single valve cover, snap bolt, wetsuit, cylinder and screw. With so much gear in the shop, it take a minute or two.

As such, we have to close our retail operations from October 29th - November 1st. The good news, if you have rental needs (rentals or returns), we will be open.

Ethan "Fishboy" is getting ready for some drysuit diving (staying dry on scuba keeps us warm so we can dive all year!). First, you need to protect the suit, like with a changing mat. He’s trying out his new changing mat, and I think he likes it! Albright

For those that don’t know our “mascot story”, it’s something ridiculous we came up with.. it’s a diver riding a hammerhead shark with an octopus stuck to the divers face.

Well, nature may be giving us an opportunity to make this happen for real. Stay tuned. 🤣🤣

While this is a very rare occurrence, it’s not zero. Cylinder safety is a top priority at our shop. While it’s inconvenient when we refuse to fill a cylinder without a proper VIP, Hydrostatic stamp, cylinder markings and quick visual inspection, we do it to keep our staff and customers safe.

Hoping this diver recovers.

A 60-year-old diver has been injured after a diving cylinder reportedly failed aboard a boat off Procida, Italy. He was recovered from the water and transferred to hospital in Naples.

The cause of the failure remains under investigation, and no technical explanation has yet been confirmed.

We know it’s late but happy Friday everyone! The shop is busy as ever, our local quarry compares to Caribbean diving (86° surface, 30-40 feet of visibility) but with less sharks (boo) and we are looking forward to another amazing weekend of diving!

We have been trying to post a Friday dancing video but, sadly, our instructors are shy.. give them a little boost here and maybe we can get one going for next Friday!
