GOOD TO THE LAST DROP!
We have officially reached the end of this spring season for your Orioles. These boys showed a lot of fight, and didn't quit all the way down to the last out. Alex gave a long, strong outing, and Evan came into a tough situation late in the game where we fell a little short.
There was good hitting, good pitching, and great fight in these boys all night. We got off to a great lead, but couldn't hold off the Dodgers' late rally.
Final score - Dodgers 9, Orioles 8.

A NIGHT OF MANY HEROES!
Your Orioles were facing elimination tonight at Herndon Road Park, but were not ready to hang up the cleats just yet. Alex did his job in the short start (we're saving him for tomorrow). Then C.W. came in and pitched over 3 innings of NO-HIT ball. Gabriel closed the show with solid pitching, in his first playoff save.
The big bats were very timely tonight. Noah crushed a bases-loaded RBI triple to cap off a 3rd inning rally, Alex scored after a 4th inning triple, and Henry and C.W. closed the deal in the 6th with a triple and RBI, respectively.
Final score- Pirates 7, Orioles 9.
Next game: Tuesday at Parkwood!

A HEARTBREAKER
Noah got his first start of the season, and dealt lots of strikes. His effort was followed by appearances from C.W., Alex, Matthew, and Gabriel. All of or guys showed bright spots, but our lack of practice also showed a little.
Our bats were great as usual. We banged out another 13 hits, including a 3 for 3 day by Gabriel. Matthew and Alex crushed RBI doubles, but we fell just a little short defensively in the end.
Orioles 11, Pirates 12

WE WERE WHO WE THOUGHT WE WERE!
Alex was absolutely outstanding in the start! He went 4 innings, struck out 4, and only gave up 5 hits. Matthew picked up right where Alex left off, pitching the final 2 innings, surrendering no runs, and recorded another 4 strikeouts.
The bats were alive as well. The Orioles pounded out another 11 hits, including extra base hits by Gabriel, Kai, and C.W. Our speed and power really shined through in this possible championship preview.
Final Score- Orioles 8, Dodgers 3.

A ROUGH NIGHT AGAINST A TOUGH TEAM
Your Orioles had a tough assignment against the 1st place Dodgers after seeing no action for the last two weeks. Our offense was slow and steady, with only 4 hits and 10 walks. The Dodgers kept us off balance with great defense and no errors.
C.W. made it interesting in the bottom of the 6th when he hit a bases-clearing double, scoring 3. Noah followed that up with an RBI single. But that was all we could muster for the night. Dodgers 9, Orioles 4.

The Orioles will FINALLY be back in action tonight! After a few rainouts, our boys can't wait to get back on the field. We play every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the next 3 weeks. Please come out and show your support! Here's this week's schedule:
Tonight @ Dodgers (Herndon 1) 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday vs Dodgers (Lowe's Grove) 6:00 p.m.
Friday vs Cardinals (Herndon 2) 6:00 p.m.
Monday and Wednesday's games are against the first place Dodgers. If we win both, we're in 1st Place! So far, the Dodgers (5-1) have the best defense (4 RPG) and the Orioles (2-1-1) have the best offense (13 RPG). This should be a classic!

WE DID WHAT WE HAD TO DO
C.W. Did a fantastic job in his first start, throwing 5 strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Evan and Ryland came in in relief, and Alex closed strong for the 15-2 Orioles win. Our pitching only gave up 3 hits!
We racked up another 11 hits on a night that saw 12 Orioles walked and one hit by pitch. It was [at times] ugly, sometimes slow, but we'll take the win!
