Fresh off their success from last weekend at Triangle Farms, queen of the show ring DEC's Honor and Sophie B. have decided to continue their partnership for another six months. Congratulations Sophie and good luck the rest of this season!

This beautiful pony sure does love this kid! Claire L. and DEC's Goldstar TM have renewed their lease together to continue their success in the Children's Ponies and Equitation! Best wishes for the rest of the season.

Congratulations are in order for miss Emily C. on her lease on Party Girl (Izzy) for the 2026/27 season in the short stirrup. Good luck to this pair!

Every year advanced camp is one of the things DEC students most look forward to, and this year was full of adventure.

We began the week with a dressage clinic from Lindsay Riddell and a bodywork demo from Silver Mane Integrated Bodywork where we learned about the Masterson Method to help keep our horses feeling their best. We enjoyed vaulting with Allegra Hart and cross country schooling at Portofino. For a more lowkey day we toured the Jordan Lake Mason Point Trail and then finished the week up with Mounted Archery at Caballera Farms.

June was a busy month for DEC and while we're happy to be back home, we're also already reminiscing about NCHJA Annual and looking forward to next year!

Max H. and DEC's Turlington had a blast in the .80's earning a blue ribbon in the jump off class and two other blues in the Schooling Jumpers. Max and his mom successfully kept this dirt-loving gray horse clean for a whole week!

Soren C. and DEC's Stella Bianca had a great weekend as well taking home the blue in the 11/u Equitation over fences and earning 4 blues in the Schooling Jumpers. Stella just missed a podium finish in the Open 2'6" derby with an 11th place finish out of 30-something entries including many professionals.

Cassidy M. and Llanarth Duet's notable results include a 2nd in the W/T/C Equitation and a 3rd in the Pleasure class. Latte was also 4th in the Crossrail under saddle class! This lovely pony is still searching for a person to call her own!

Astrid C. and DEC's Farnley's First Glance earned a 2nd in the Crossrails over fences, and a 3rd in the W/T/C Equitation. Both Cassidy and Astrid were good sports on Saturday after the rain canceled their afternoon classes. The girls and their ponies enjoyed a ba****ck trail ride through the puddles around Tryon!

Stacey B. and DEC's Endless Joy showed successfully in the highly competitive Younger Adults and Medals. The pair also ribboned in the Foothills Hunters against many professionals! As always, Stacey killed it in the Adult Equitation on Friday.

Ashley O. and DEC's My Way KL enjoyed a blue ribbon in the .90 jumpers and earned multiple ribbons in the Adult Equitation and Medals. They ended the weekend 9th in the Classic.

Anna G. and her own Royalty Ready were 4th in the M&S and 6th in the Classic. Continuing their success in the equitation, the pair was also 7th in the NCHJA Pony Medal.

Cleo C. and DEC's Oliver Twist Z earned a 5th in the Younger Children's division with a personal best score, and were 5th in the THIS. The pair was 6th in the Classic and 6th in the NCHJA Children's Medal Finals after 3 fun and challenging rounds.

Up next we head to Triangle Farms Summer Indoor 'C' Show at the fairgrounds!

After interviewing many kids, Sedona has finally selected her very own human! We're excited to welcome Trinity D. to the DEC family as Sedona's new lease rider and what better way to celebrate than on Trinity's 10th birthday!

We can't wait to watch these two take on the Crossrail and Short Stirrup divisions together. Happy Birthday, Trinity and congratulations, Sedona! We think you picked a good one.
