Congratulations to Blowfish Baseball alum Shane Drohan on reaching the Majors with the Milwaukee Brewers! 👏👏👏 He is the first former CPL player to reach the Bigs in 2026 and the 205th overall!

LUCKY NUMBER 13! Shane Drohan becomes the 13th former Blowfish to make it to The Show!

Drohan pitched for the Blowfish during the 2018 season. He was then a fifth-round pick out of Florida State during the 2020 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox.

His MLB debut came against the same team who drafted him six years ago in Fenway Park.

Happy Opening Day! With the start of the 2026 MLB season, 18 CPL alumni are on Opening Day rosters. We wish them all the best, as well as all of our other alums that will be starting soon in Minor League Baseball! How many debuts will we see this season? Stay tuned.

With MLB Spring Training starting today, the Coastal Plain League boasts a league-high 90 alums participating 🤩. Further, all 30 MLB teams feature at least 1 CPL alum, led by the Tampa Bay Rays with 8. The High Point-Thomasville HiToms and Peninsula Pilots Baseball led the way among CPL clubs with 14 and 11 former players in camps.

Congratulations to CPl alum Chad Pinder, who has been named the new manager of the Charlotte Knights! 👏 👏 👏 Pinder spent the 2011 summer with Peninsula Pilots Baseball and later made his MLB debut with the Athletics in 2016. Best of luck to you, Chad, in this new role!

There has been A LOT of interest surrounding the Name Your Team contest for our new Zebulon club, so we decided to extend it one more day. The contest will officially end Saturday night (11/22), so be sure to get your submissions in on time. And we're excited to share that Zebulon's new General Manager, Caleb Whittemore, will be at the Town of Zebulon's Candy Cane Lane this Saturday to meet and greet fans and share more information about what's in store come May, 2026!
