Well, our first out of town racing experience is in the books. Nothing went as planned and that was expected. This was Adrian’s first time racing in the Unrestricted Animal class. Meaning he’s now in a heavyweight class with a lot heavier car. In the first night heat he got spun out 3 times trying to pass and got the dreaded black flag. He came back the next day starting in 9th out of 10 cars. Worked his way up to finish 7th. While it may not sound like a great finish, the other 9 kids out there were all teens. He’s 9 and will be 10 in a couple days. So overall he held up good against some pretty good kids. The car also was untested at the heavier weight, so what usually takes a day of practice fine tuning was accomplished during a 90 second practice and the couple laps that were completed during the heat. This completes the 2023 season. Wish Adrian a Happy 10th Birthday on the New year! Thank you all for your support this year. See you in the Spring.
