It's slick out there today. Use these tips to walk safely on ice and to prevent injury during a fall.
Take short steps or shuffle. Keep the body weight centered directly over the feet. Keep hands out of pockets.
If a fall is happening, avoid stretching the arms out to catch yourself. Curl the shoulders forward and tuck the head to avoid hitting your head on the ground. I started gaining weight during the pandemic. When my cortisol levels spiked from stressors like losing business due to the pandemic and family issues, weight gain and health problems were the result. I was coping in ways that I discourage my clients from doing; I wasn’t practicing what I'd been preaching.
After some scary health episodes, I knew it was time to get back on track and practice the best self-care possible. As a result, my previous physique has returned by following the recommendations I provide to my clients.
Sharing my before and after photos doesn’t mean I am done. At Become Wellness we continue to progress. Become Wellness is a state of health to strive for, so we can thrive in all areas of life.
