I often advocate for bike storage inside; both for theft deterrent and to prevent damage like this.

To many, a bike is a tool used to perform a task. One of the most important tasks a bicycle can be assigned is to keep its rider moving to maintain or improve overall health. But, it’s important to take good care of your bike so that it can perform that duty for years. A clean and lubricated chain and well adjusted derailleurs are the first steps toward prevention of dreaded chain-suck. With the increase in the number of riders and the number of hours enthusiasts have been riding, we’ve seen more chain-suck this year than can be counted. Remember to take good care of your machine and it will take good care of you.

The garage can be a dangerous place. That’s why we here at Phoenix Fiberworks advocate for keeping your bikes in the house 😆. This S-Works suffered a puncture wound from an errant tool with a mind of its own. Thankfully, it’s back in action and ready to rip.

Chainstays and seatstays are comparably susceptible to damage. Sometimes it’s a crash, sometimes a bike blown over in the wind. Or maybe something fell on it in the garage. But with careful work, your frame doesn’t need to end its service life. This Tarmac is as good as new and back on the road with a repair warranted for life.

Following the theme of fun colors, this matte mint Trek Domane Gravel suffered an unfortunate chain incident that compromised a significant area on the down tube. Now it’s back and ready roll some stones.

We’ve had a run of fun(ky) colors recently. This one we’ve affectionately dubbed “mushroom”. A simple tip over in the garage and an unfortunately placed hit on the drive side seat stay left it compromised. But now it’s back to 💯 and ready to crush all the gravel.

It’s never fun when a stick makes its way between your spokes and your stays while enjoying a ride through the woods. Sometimes, though, the result is notably worse than others. Another Beargrease back in action.

This is what happens when the edge of your seat tube mounted water bottle is touching your down tube for miles and miles of bouncing around off-road 😬 We’ll have this one back to 💯% in no time though.

The prodigal son has returned. Not really. It’s just rare to see one of our repairs come back (we offer a lifetime repair warranty). But this one came back for a rad Sapphire fork upgrade. Ready to race his upcoming season. Scroll through for seat stay damage pics prior to repair.

Life lesson learned; motel towels do not make good tailgate pads on rental trucks being driven on rough roads on the way to a DH race south of the border. But, it’s now back to good as new and ready shred.
