Spiny Water Fleas have been identified in the Manitowish Chain, marking the first confirmed detection of this invasive species in that body of water. There is no known control for this predator, prevention is critical. A link to our website with more information is listed below in comments.

Join the fun! The 2025 Boat Parade is Saturday, July 5th. Line up starts at 1:45 in the boat landing bay. Be on your pier to get your ballots at 1:45.

Good news! The preliminary report shows that we don’t have any new invasive species in our beautiful lake. The Chinese Mystery Snail was once again spotted but that isn’t new for us. The largest predator to our lake is invasive species. Today, divers will be searching for these harmful plants to protect our beautiful lake. Please give them space to do their work and let's hope we come out clear.

Congratulations to the Dittman Family, winners of the 2024 Boat Parade. They will fly the Snipe Lake Flag for the next year. Thank you to all participants, from boat decorators to voters. Start planning for next year's competition, which is already heating up!

We had a great Annual Snioe Lake Association meeting on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed Mimosas and Muffins while getting to know their neighbors.

I want to let you know that our long time Snipe Lake friend, Helena Radloff, has passed away. I believe she bought her property in the late 1950's. She was an active member on the Snipe Lake Association board in years past. May she rest in peace.
