Firebird Raceway A Treasure Valley racing tradition since 1968.

Firebird Raceway hosts drag racing events from March through October, highlighted by the annual Nightfire Nationals each August. Established in 1968, Firebird Raceway is a family-owned and operated, a member track of the National Hot Rod Association located in Idaho's Treasure Valley. For nearly six decades, Firebird has welcomed racers and fans from throughout the Northwest, across the United States and Canada for a full season of drag racing from late March through October. Home to some of the Northwest's longest-running racing traditions, Firebird's signature events include the Spring Warm Up & Swap Meet, Ignitor, Fox Hunt, Nightfire Nationals and Halloween Classic. Three generations of the New family have helped carry on a tradition built around competitive racing, family entertainment and a lifelong passion for the sport of drag racing.

Congratulations to the 2026 NHRA Heritage Series AA/Fuel Dragster and AA/Funny Car national champions following this weekend's California Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield!

Tip of the hat to Tyler Hilton (AA/FD) and Nathan Sitko (AA/FC) for earning well-deserved national titles after a hard-fought season.

Both drivers have thrilled Firebird fans with their performances at our Heritage Series events, and it's especially rewarding to see these two talented racers reach the pinnacle of their respective categories.

Congratulations to Tyler, Nathan, their crews and everyone involved in these championship efforts. What a fitting way to cap off the 2026 racing season!

There's something pretty special about The NAPA Network Halloween Classic presented by Kendall Auto Idaho.

From the first pair of cars down the historic dragstrip to the final rounds on Sunday, the 33rd annual Classic brought together racers, families and friends from near and far for five unforgettable days at Firebird.

The racing. The wheelstands. The costumes. The Pit Decorations. The friendships. And all those little moments in between that make this event one of our favorite traditions of the season.

Last Blast was a fitting way to put the finishing touches on our 2026 racing calendar. A great mix of racers, hot rods, show cars, friends and familiar faces all coming together for one final Saturday in the foothills.

Our thanks to everyone who joined us today, along with our entire Firebird staff and New Crew for helping bring another season to a close.

Come join the fun this Saturday for Last Blast. Racin', showin', and plenty of friends to visit with as we wrap up another memorable season. Gates open at 9 am.

Gates open at 9 am, with grudge racing and testing starting at 10 am. We'll also feature a Show 'n Shine in the upper pit area, plus your final opportunity of the year to join the 100 MPH Club!

We were honored to welcome the Treasure Valley DUI Task Force to the Halloween Classic this past weekend.

Their presence was especially meaningful as we continue to remember our friend, former chief starter and longtime Firebird family member, Joel Eggers.

We're grateful to the officers who joined us, and for their continued efforts to promote safe and responsible driving throughout our community.

Thank you for being part of the Classic and helping us keep Joel's memory alive.

A LITTLE EXTRA HALLOWEEN CLASSIC MAGIC!

One of the many highlights of the NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic presented by Kendall GM of Idaho is the creativity, imagination and fun that our racers and race fans bring to the annual costume contests, pit decorations and more.

From outrageous outfits and colorful characters to some downright hilarious creations, this year's contestants certainly didn't disappoint!

A special congratulations to all of our award winners, who helped make another Halloween Classic one to remember.

It's these extra touches, beyond all the racing action, that make the Classic such a special tradition for everyone who joins us at Firebird.
