In essence this course is an exploration of GYROKINESIS® Movement through the lens of Laban Movement Analysis. This includes an introduction to Laban’s language of movement, Bartenieff Fundamentals®, the five Sacred Solids (sometimes called the Platonic Solids) and Laban’s movement scales with those 3-dimensional figures. We will handle models of the solids, draw them, build them, and move within them experiencing the dynamic affinities that give life to our Gyrokinesis practice.

We will move on the floor, through all levels, and traveling across and around the available space. We may take field trips to sites outside the studio depending on availability and weather. As with all my courses, content and approach will be influenced and informed by what knowledge, experience and questions students bring with them. A friend, student and colleague calls this “The Wisdom Pool.”

Sacred Geometry and Gyrokinesis Movement is the result of a long lifetime (70+ years) exploring the expression of life into form. This Course is an Update for Trainers Certified in Gyrokinesis and for Trainers Certified in both Gyrokinesis AND Gyrotonic. It is NOT an Update for Trainers Certified only in Gyrotonic.

Looking for a traveling companion from Frankfurt Airport to Muenstertal the morning of August 22. I arrive at 8 am and expect to take the train from the airport to the Frankfurt Main Train station and then to Freiburg where I will either take a taxi or be picked up by Jackson to motor to Muenstertal ( Gina's idea, brilliant!). I'm smart and strong but I don't speak or read German, alas, and get disoriented when I don't get good sleep. Which I won't flying red eye economy class from JFK.
