We are a quiet, welcoming horse stable located in East Falmouth where the art of horseback riding meets a passion for horsemanship. Here each student is unique.

Flexibility is the key at MEC. We try to place a student in a group where he or she will succeed. We have learned that age, experience, goals, and ability are all factors to be considered when teaching a student. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, our instructors work to place each rider into a group where they will achieve -- and build on their love of horses. Riding can be an expens

Earlier this afternoon, Luke was peacefully laid to rest. Often called “Cow Luke,” he was estimated to be around 30 years old and had been with us for over 16 years.

He taught many people how to ride out a crow hop or buck, and he taught countless students how to trot, canter, and, in his younger days, jump. One of his favorite kids, Emma, fell in love with riding because of him. Emma loved him deeply and wished for the day she could call him hers. We knew Robin wouldn’t have sold him to just anyone, so Emma, at just 16 years old, bought him and worked hard to not only have her own horse, but her very own Luke. 💙

In his more recent years, he was leased by Lainey, who loved him and all his quirks. He was also used occasionally for beginner lessons, and we know kids like Savannah got to learn about horsemanship because of him.

Our thoughts are with Emma and the Dintino family, and everyone else who knew and loved him (and those we’re sure could share a good story about him from some sort of trail ride 🤣).

We know he is reunited with his best pals Toby, Jaxs, and Nugget, and that Nugget is watching those three boys run around in the greenest of pastures, with too many apples and bananas. 🍌🍃🍎

What an incredible day at Maushop Equestrian Center! 🐴🤎

Our very first clinic was a huge success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support us and make the day so special!

A huge thank you to Jason Drass and his team for an amazing day of learning, horsemanship, and fun. Our riders gained so much knowledge both on the ground and in the saddle, and we can’t wait to put it into practice!

A special thank you to our wonderful helpers Reen, Aubrey, Izzy 1 & Izzy 2 for all their help throughout the day. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you again to everyone who participated and supported our first clinic. We’re already looking forward to hosting another one in the future! 🐎✨

What an incredible day at the Barnstable County Fair Horse Show! 🐴💙🎡

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible! We are so grateful to our wonderful judge, Mel; Melissa from The Funny Farm for sharing Coco and Vinny with us; Gretchen and The Barnstable County Agricultural Society, our amazing parents and volunteers; every rider; and everyone who helped the day run so smoothly. Events like these truly take a team, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you!

✨ Derby’s very first horse show was a success! Reen did a wonderful job, and Derby grew more confident with every class.

✨ Arden and Coco made their show debut together, and it’s safe to say Coco has discovered a love for poles!

✨ Aubrey made her jumping debut over cross rails with Marco. We are so excited for her!

✨ Lukas was feeling extra enthusiastic, and Sophie did a fantastic job keeping him focused and riding forward.

✨ Congratulations to our first-time exhibitors—Lila, Bryn, Avery, Genny, Savannah, Izzy, and Lilly! We are so proud of your first time in the show ring and can’t wait to watch you grow.

Some of our riders also had a blast in the fun classes, including the Egg & Spoon and Chicken Races! 🥚🐔

🐴 Let’s Just Be Glad & Arden
🐴 Hot Coco & Taryn
🐴 Greta’s Snack Attack & Izzy

Days like this remind us that horse shows are about so much more than ribbons—they’re about building confidence, supporting one another, making memories, and having fun with our horses. We couldn’t be prouder of every horse, pony, and rider who represented our barn.

We hope to see everyone back at the Barnstable County Fair Horse Show next year! 🎠🎟️🦄

Welcome to Maushop, Dickens. 🤍

We’re so grateful to welcome this sweet senior boy to the farm and honored to be part of his retirement. At 30+, he also gets to be reunited with his brother, Valdon—a pretty special chapter. 🐴❤️

Proud to have Ashley Sylvia Photography joining us at the Barnstable County Fair Horse Show! 📸🐴

Ashley will be capturing all the unforgettable moments in and out of the show ring, so riders and parents can focus on enjoying the day while she preserves the memories. Be sure to keep an eye out for her and don’t forget to follow to see highlights and find your photos after the show!

We can’t wait to see everyone at the fair—good luck to all our exhibitors! ✨🏆
