WELL….pilates is on a definite upward trend. Everyone is doing it. Everyone is opening a new aesthetic boutique with a sauna and custom grip socks. I am happy about the expansion of this exercise format. Some of the old school classical instructors are in their feels about the lack of stringent training and the disassociation with classical pilates methodology. I read a post that said “a bosu never belongs on a reformer”. I asked why. She referred to classical work and how it’s not what was done 100 years ago. Change is hard. However, change is the world around us. Change is the new studios offering what the masses want. Change is the ability to adapt. Just because someone does it differently, that doesn’t detract from your personal ideologies about pilates. There is room for all types of studios. The beauty is in the differences. Don’t be that person who tries to keep exercise in a silo. It’s exposing your aversion to change. And change is always growth. 🙌

Tower class….what to say about this class 🤔 think mat work but with weights, leg day but you find muscles you weren’t using, upper body but every movement feels right, oh and abs, abs, abs in every minute of class. It’s a good time. You will need to sign up early because this class is a necessity for those who know!

When I teach you to exercise, whether it’s on the reformer or lifting a weight, my first goal is to find your potential, my next goal is to keep you at intensity for a finite period of time. My third goal is to connect with your mind so that you understand that potential +intensity= results. This formula is not complicated or even interesting. It is training. Training your body is vastly different than “getting a workout “.
