Summer Reps Have Started…… What a difference another year makes.

The faceoff in lacrosse is highly important because it dictates game possession, pace, and momentum.

From backyard reps to sharpening those clamps and quick draws — watching my son grind through faceoff drills has been the highlight of this season. Proud dad/coach mode activated! Nothing beats seeing the technique improve, the confidence grow, and the love for the game get stronger every practice.

I would have never been introduced to the world of gravel biking if it weren’t for a knee injury last summer. I couldn’t run, but I could bike! Being able to jump on a bike that’s capable of almost going anywhere on any terrain and trail, gave me the feeling I needed to get out and keep going. It was new, it was freeing, it was just what I needed.

There are 2 ways to react to ANY situation, pull back and make excuses, or take opportunity and expand…… I chose and will always choose the second option.

If you go into a run under-fueled, under-hydrated, or thinking toughness alone will carry you through, the heat will collect its debt.

The athletes who perform well in conditions like this aren’t just the fittest—they’re the ones who respect the process. They fuel before, during, and after the work.
