I've come back to posting here since most people follow my posts here versus the Sandra Ploth Wellness Services FB page.

This link is to an article I posted on Linkedin.
The article is actually an excerpted chapter from a very short memoir I'm writing which I hope to have ready for self-publishing by the end of the year. The memoir will be a short book with little chapters on what life experience has taught me about challenges, friendships, partnerships, grief, nursing (and God of course!) Those who know me, are well aware that I always have "thoughts" about everything! lol You can let me know what you think of this small chapter on how emotional healing doesn't always look like healing in the beginning. It's only a 4 min read! lol

Love this image I found on Printrest. It says it all! One tip is to take one sentence from your racing mind & saying it inwardly but take a breath between each word & each syllable. Give yourself permission to rest in the breath- see if you can stretch out the pauses between the words or syllables. Sometimes I forget what the rest of the sentence was. Then of course the mind races again - normal!! But often this practice slows my own racing mind down a bit & helps me focus more on the task in front of me. (I’m a bit ADHD. As they say “you teach what you need to know”.) Give it a try. At the very least you’d have given yourself a couple of nourishing breaths & a couple of “sanity pauses”! 🙂

So I’ve been hibernating a bit from my FB pages for a while & concentrating on starting a podcast which will be called “Let’s take a Sanity Pause”. Since I’ve zero knowledge about how to do any of it - I signed up for an online course & have been taking one step at a time including taking a month to get over the fear of doing something outside my comfort zone & actually opening the course! Lololol Hope to launch in late April & you’ll hear more about it. Most of us feel nervous about stretching beyond our comfort zone - but I’m here to support you as a fellow traveler if you need it. What would you like to try this year? Go for it one step at a time!😊😊
