Still a couple openings for bear hunts the second week of hound season (September 21-26.) The state has also made a youth hunt over hounds for the first time this year and I have one youth hunt over dogs available (September 12.) It’s not too late to book a Maine black bear hunt with a group of family and friends! 🐻

We have a last minute opening for a bear hunt over bait the first week of the season August 31-September 5.

This hunt is for a group of 3-5 hunters.

Ever wanted to chase bobcat behind hounds in the thickets of Downeast Maine? Now is your chance as I have 2 or 3 slots left open for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

Hunts are 6 days long behind experienced hounds targeting only mature Tom bobcat. By doing so it gives the hunter the opportunity to harvest a trophy cat of their liking along with leaving plenty of stock for the future.

Due to the sometimes questionable snow conditions of Coastal Maine, hunts are “on call,” so to speak, depending on storms in the region to ensure the best snow conditions possible for each hunter.

As the dust settles from a busy hunting season here are some of the photos from this years bear hunts. I’d like to take a minute to thank all that hunted with us as we’re extremely grateful for the memories and friendships made along the way. We’re still in the process of booking a handful more hunts for 2026– bear over bait as well as bear hunts over hounds. Two great days in the Maine woods. Another father and son pair; Bo shot a 294lb boar Monday that treed. Bo’s father followed up today with a great shot on a beautiful 248lb dry sow that we caught in a spruce thicket. Still a few spots left this season, don’t wait… baits are hitting and dogs are on fire. Send PM

Off to a great start for opening week of hound season! Monday and Tuesday we had a father and son duo; Stephen with a 208lb boar and Mark with a nice 268lb dry sow. Wednesday we treed and freed a small bear to leave for the future. Thursday and Friday we had another father and son pair; Matt harvested a 215lb boar and Mike with a nice 180lb boar. Excellent dog work, good shooting, great company and lots of laughs! Dogs are rested and we’re ready for week two!
