🏁 RACE DAY UPDATE — HOLLAND SPEEDWAY 🏁

Today, the Race of Champions takes over Holland Speedway, but the LeadFoot Motorsports #14 will be watching this one from the stands instead of competing on the track.

Since today’s event is an exhibition race for us with no championship points on the line, we made the decision to sit this one out. Racing comes with plenty of expenses, and at this point in the season, we feel our resources are better spent preparing the car, taking care of equipment, and focusing on the races that matter toward our championship efforts.

As much as we love being behind the wheel, sometimes the smartest decision for a race team is knowing when to save the car and the budget for another day.

Plus, sometimes it’s nice to kick back, relax, and watch everyone else beat up their stuff for a change! 😂🏁

That doesn’t mean we’re staying home! We’ll still be at Holland Speedway today, just on the other side of the fence enjoying the Race of Champions action from the stands.

Good luck to everyone competing today. Put on a great show, stay safe, and hopefully everyone brings their cars home in one piece… or at least mostly in one piece! 😂

(5/17/2026 UPDATE)

Well I have definitely dropped the ball on the updates this year but that ends now. I know i said I was done racing last year (and I said it in years past) but with my car being allowed to run Lancaster again and no one buying it in the off season we said what the hell why not and here we are. Got the news late that we were allowed to race so we quickly went through the car touched up some things went through the trailer and off to the races. We got to the track Sunday and didn't know really what to expect car really wasn't touched since it came off the track last. We went out there with last years tires and fuel and car felt OK in practice. The newest member of the LeadFoot crew, my lucky Abigail pulled pill 1 for the heat. So started first in the heat and never looked back. The car was almost perfect so we left the setup the same and started 3rd for the feature. Starting P3 I thought we were gonna have a quick run to the front but the inside line got checked up and we got shuffled back 4th, I was able to find a spot in line and started picking cars off one by one. Finally got to second and focused on chasing down the leader, I got a break when a yellow come out on lap 6. Didn't get a great restart and fell to 3rd but got back in my rhythm to take the lead at half way and claim victory. Abby's first race and she gets a taste of victory lane!

So since it's Thanksgiving and we got an invite to NYC for our champions tour it's probably safe to say the racing season is over so time for a season recap. This season was definitely one to remember, a number of lows but oh so many highs. First I have to thank my other half Shelby Lynn , she was there through all the struggles no matter what! I also need to thank my grandparents ( Linda Shamrock ) for always being in the pits and supporting me week in and week out. I also need to thank Greg from EVL Auto Care, who let me use his shop, helped build the new cage,and helped with the setup. Whatever he could help with he did. Now onto the season, the start of the season went our way! Thankfully for a rainout to start, it gave us a little more time to catch up even though we didn't get the car done till 2 am due to having to swap out a leaking fuel tank. After that we were off to the races winning the first 4 four cylinder events, 3 small track 1 big track. Through the middle of the season we started to do some traveling visiting 6 tracks this year and running consistently in the top 5 and working our way up the points standings. The end of the year was a little more rough than the beginning, we were running consistently good everywhere we went, we seemed to be behind the 8 ball whether it was tracks or other drivers. Nonetheless we came out on Top! Winning both the 4 Cylinder Stock class and the 4 Cylinder Pro class at Lancaster Motorplex. We also had a runner up finish in Race of Champions points to Trisha Connolly. So let's see... 3 sets of points, 2 Championships and a 2nd overall, not bad.
