We were out this weekend socializing with a new friend and came across a situation...
The home owner chose to use a glue trap in an open air environment.. Not only was it the wrong equipment choice but most certainly the wrong environment.

We were able to save the bird from a painful death... (I despise glue traps)

The bird was missing quite a few feathers but flew off once we got it free.

Looks like hornet season is in full flight....
Here is a quick lesson on hornet nests. Here locally there are 3 varieties: Bald-faced, German Yellow Jackets, and Western Yellow Jackets. We also have Paper Wasps and assorted pollinators.
