Tennessee Dizzy Dean

What an incredible evening! 🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Tennessee Dizzy Dean Banquet such a tremendous success. It was a great evening celebrating the people, dedication, and passion that make Tennessee Dizzy Dean special.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and our newest Gold Circle inductees! Your contributions to youth baseball and softball deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to an outstanding 2027 baseball and softball season!

Thank you all for being part of the Dizzy Dean family. The best is yet to come! ⚾🥎

Congratulations to our fellow Dizzy Dean State Director, Deputy Marty Ray! He’s truly in it for all the right reasons. His commitment to kids is evident every day, both in his role as an SRO at Brainerd High School and through his work in youth sports. He genuinely cares about making a difference in the lives of young people, and it shows. Well deserved, Marty!

Thank you, Chattanooga NAACP, for honoring School Resource Deputy Marty Ray at the 37th Annual Ruby Hurley Image Awards for his outstanding service to Hamilton County over the weekend.

Deputy Ray exemplifies the qualities representative of the Ralph Cothran Civil Service Officer of the Year.

“Deputy Ray has proudly served at Brainerd High School for seventeen years. During that time, he has done far more than maintain safety on campus. He has mentored students, built relationships with families and school staff, and become a trusted presence in the lives of countless young people. As Deputy Ray plans to retire later this year, there is no greater time to recognize his dedication and service to Hamilton County, and his absence will leave a challenging void to fill at both Brainerd High School and within the School Resource Deputy unit,” stated Captain Jamie Fields.
