This is probably KD's favorite race on the circuit… and it's mostly for the ice cream!

Race day is here at the .

It wasn’t the qualifying weekend we were hoping for. Out of four sessions, we only made it down the racetrack once, but that one run was enough to put the GIGCARE Camaro in the field in the No. 14 spot.

No matter how tough the weekend gets, having family at the track makes it a little easier. Cooper has been coming to races for years, and this weekend he’s back in the pits cheering on Poppy as we get ready for eliminations.

Round 1 won’t be easy as we take on No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson, but you can’t win on Sunday if you don’t make the show.

Time to see what race day brings.

Day 1 in Bristol didn’t go quite the way we hoped.

With a brand-new track surface and no data to work from, we played it safe in Q1 and made a conservative run to get a baseline.

Just as we rolled into the water box for Q2, the skies opened up and put us on hold for several hours.

When racing finally resumed, we took a bigger swing at it and ended up shaking the tires.

We’re currently sitting in the No. 13 spot, but the good news is we still have two qualifying sessions left today.

This GigCare Camaro has more in it, and we’ll be looking to make the most of our remaining opportunities before eliminations.

The newest member of the team made her first trip to the racetrack.

Serafina Rose joined us at the in Epping, NH, and she seemed right at home surrounded by race cars, family, and plenty of noise.

The racing side of the weekend didn’t go quite the way we had hoped, but getting to share the experience with family made the trip special.

There aren’t many things better than watching a new generation make their first memories at the racetrack.

We’re pretty sure this won’t be her last trip to the races.

Serafina Rose made her first trip to the racetrack this weekend, and judging by that smile, she seems pretty happy to be here.

At just 2 months old, she’s already getting introduced to the sights, sounds, and smells of NHRA Pro Stock racing. Not a bad way to spend a weekend.

Now the question is…could she be Poppy’s new good luck charm?

We’ll find out soon enough as Kenny lines up against Eric Latino in Round 1 here at the New England Nationals.
