Twin Lakes Farm

Our ponies had a busy day at the OSF Halloween show yesterday. So today is a tack walking day. It appears that our pony teamers forgot the “tack” part.

Congratulations to Kylie A. and family on their purchase of “Crowd Goes Wild” (aka: “Vivi”) who was not only champion of the larges at Old Salem today- along with winning the classic, she was the perfect costume class unicorn! This was their very first show together! We are so excited about this pair! Many thanks to Alan Korotkin and Heather Acker for helping us to make this partnership happen!

The Twin Lakes Farm show team had a spooky time at Old Salem Farm today. The annual costume class never disappoints! Congratulations riders on a great day!

Here is Allison Tarter, age five, with her friend "End of the Rainbeau" (aka: "Bobo") showing off their walk/trot ribbon at their first horse show together. Next week, Ally will be heading to Maclay finals in Kentucky with "Linus Van Pelt." It is a wonderful conclusion to a wonderful junior career. Good luck, Ally and Linus!

Flashback a.k.a. “Dougie” is currently offered for lease or sale. This sweet pony has been showing in the beginner walk trot through the 2’3” hunters over the past two years; traveling to shows such as HITS Saugerties, WEC, Vermont Summer Special, and Old Salem Farm. Dougie is as kid-friendly as they come. He excels in the short stirrup ring, with his striking roan color standing out in a crowd. He has shown very successfully up to the 2’ 3” hunters- but has the scope and willing attitude for more. Dougie is not spooky and has an in-your-pocket personality that makes him a barn favorite. He vets clean. Dougie is an easy keeper, turns out alone or in company, is easy to trailer, and has a spot-on automatic lead change. As a bonus, he loves to trail ride and does it alone or in company. He will lead or follow. Limited to no show prep- he knows the job. He is very sadly outgrown and is ready to move on to his next child.

Challenge of the States update! Emily Tarter and “High Life” scored an 85.62 from a panel of four judges to bring team New York One to team gold medal and an individual 5th place medal for Emily! Congrats, Emily and Thor and good luck tomorrow in the New England Junior Medal!

Congratulations to Emily Tarter and “High Life” for their fantastic round in the 15-17 age equitation at New England Finals yesterday- which earned them a spot on the New York team for today’s “Challenge of the States” competition! Good Luck, Emily and Thor!
