Lafayette’s MOSAIC group comes to the Boys & Girls Club of Easton, another amazing group of college students providing volunteer services. They will be doing similar activities as they did on Monday 9/21/26: a mindfulness activity (yoga/dance) and sports activities (basketball/baseball). Check out the photos capturing them engaging with club youth.

A special thanks to today’s MOSAIC volunteers: Kate SantaMaria (Leader), Ava Imperato, Sophia Lomnitz, Ben Latessa, Madden Murray, and Dan Schecter. MOSAIC volunteers from Lafayette College will be visiting the Boys & Girls Club of Easton every Monday from 4:30pm until 6:15pm until December.

According to Ms. SantaMaria activities are split into two halves! One halve led mindfulness experiences; we first discussed what it means to be mindful, and aware of oneself and others.

Adding, “We practiced taking deep breaths, slowing down, and embracing quiet. We then did a little slow-flow yoga and emphasized relaxation and stretching to release tension! The other half led fitness experiences based on team building and teamwork! They played capture the flag and let kids pick games of their choice to practice team leadership! We ended the day by chatting with them at dinner until they were picked up’” - Kate SantaMaria

The Boys & Girls Club of Easton is hosting a free food giveaway Sunday, September 20, 2026, in partnership with Shoprite Bethlehem and Richard and Susan Master a major supporter of the Food access initiative of the Boys & Girls Club of Easton located at 210 Jones Houston Way in Southside Easton PA.

For those interested in joining us this morning we are a rain or shine event. Doors open up at 10 AM. and The Free Food Giveaway concludes promptly at 11 AM.

Kudos to our helping hands crew for preparing the food display, set up and breakdown required for the free food distribution and performing as gracious hosts for families who frequent the giveaways and are the direct benefactors of the Free Food Giveaway, they are; Michelle McKessey, Sandra Riley, Danielle Sabatelle, and Tony T. Harrison.

Rain or shine, Join us this morning for the Free Food Giveaway.

Today’s Free Food Giveaway (Sunday, September 19, 2026) is brought to our community on behalf of ShopRite Bethlehem and Richard and Susan Master, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Easton. Welcome back Enda Shoprite associate appearing in the photo with Dean Young.

Coping with the loss of a loved one is a huge challenge, Dean Young and Family are thankful for the expressions of support.

On Sunday September 13, 2026, at 6:04 pm Michael J. Young my big brother, mentor, coach and friend lost a very tough battle and moved on beyond life as we know it on earth to eternal life. Known to many of the club youth as Coach Mike, he volunteered his services at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton and was an outstanding volunteer basketball coach and a chaperone for kids and players he coached during several Philadelphia 76ers professional basketball games. His volunteer service is appreciated.

During this challenging time, our family is extremely grateful for the incredible support systems we are receiving.

I want everyone to know that your prayers, best wishes, phone calls, and visits with family members is making a significant difference. Your kindness brings solace in the midst of grief.

Saturday, September 19, 2026 is Wegmans appreciation day held at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton and acknowledgment of the stores amazing continuous support of the Clubs free food giveaway which is available and open to the community every Saturday morning between 10AM and 11AM.

We’re blessed this morning to have delicious, free, prepared meals, meat, pastries, and a wide variety of food to share out with our friends, guests, and families who frequent the Free Food Giveaway held by the Boys & Girls Club of Easton at 210 Jones Houston Way in Southside Easton Pennsylvania. Some guests arrive early as they did this morning for social time, and to enjoy some early morning extra eats.

Today’s also a great opportunity to thank our financial supporters Susan and Richard Master, and are helping hands crew made up of staff and a cast of outstanding volunteers, they are; Michelle McKessey, Sandra Riley, Trinity McKessey, Danielle Sabatelle, Tony T. Harrison, Dawson Weller, and Roger Williams, Jr., who offered their support during the weekend giveaways on Saturday and Sunday Mornings’.

The Boys & Girls Club of Easton frequently host their free food giveaway events on Saturday and Sunday Morning’s.

In prep for Saturday morning September 19, Free food distribution co-sponsored by Wegmans Easton and Richard & Susan Master to gain an early start, Dean Young, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Easton elicit help from Shaun a Helping Hands Associate at Wegmans Bethlehem, and BGCE staff members; John Hollenbach and Whitney Frazier.

Saturday mornings free food giveaway is held at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton located at 210
Jones Houston Way in Southside, doors open at 10:00 am and the giveaway ends promptly at 11:00 am.

On Sunday morning the free food giveaway is held at the same location BGCE 210 Jones Houston Way in Southside Easton the start and finish time is between 10:00 am and 11:00am.

The Free Food Giveaway usually consist of produce, meat, dairy, prepared meals, fruits & vegetables, canned goods and more, it’s opened to the public.

All in need are welcome to attend.

Welcome Back Friday September 18, 2026, spending extended quality time at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton among staff and Club youth engaging in fun & games, earning prizes, sipping hot chocolate, enjoying dinner, movies, and cupcakes. Tonight all members grades k-5 and 6-12 grade are welcome to say until 8:45 PM.

The club is giving consideration to repeating extended hours on next Friday September 25, 2026.

Safety first and foremost; Healthy meals for kids, thanks to our agency collaborator, food delivery service, and business partnership.

Daniel Bartlett - J&S Fire protection, Inc., Manager of Service and Inspections, stopped by to provide bi-yearly inspections of the Boys and Girls of Easton’s Fire Suppression system and to test to certify all fire extinguishers are operational. The club passed with flying colors!

Shaun Howell, Easton Area School District Food Delivery Service, provided hot food for today’s after-school meal plan. Dinner consists of Barbecue chicken rib sandwiches, Tater tots, Chocolate milk, carrots, apples, and fruit punch.

Adam Williams, President at Easton Community Center, in a community collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Easton delivers amusement equipment. Adams calls it, “an Inflatable Dartboard” that members of the Boys & Girls Club of Easton will be able to enjoy on welcome back fun day, open to all grade levels between 3pm and 8:45 pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Today, we also had a few visitors who roamed around the community garden. Check out the photos to get a glimpse of two deer making a visit at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton.
