What a weekend for the Sleep Racing team as we checked two more tracks off the bucket list with the Legend Car! 💪🏁

📍 Friday Night - Red Cedar Speedway
We rolled into Red Cedar Speedway for our first-ever Legend Car race at the track, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The track was smooth, the racing was great, and the fans put on an awesome atmosphere.

After battling our way into the feature, we started 8th and worked our way forward to bring home a solid 6th-place finish! 👊

Huge thanks to everyone at Red Cedar Speedway for having us. We had a blast and can't wait to come back!

Of course, congratulations to Davey Pennel on picking up the win Friday night! 🏆

🔧 But the work wasn't done...

We loaded up, headed back to the shop, and got right to work. We knew if we wanted to improve Saturday, we needed to find a little more speed!

📍 Saturday Night - Rice Lake Speedway
For the first time ever, Sleep Racing unloaded a Legend Car at Rice Lake Speedway, and WOW... what a show! 🔥

We made the feature once again, rolled off 9th, and charged our way up to another 6th-place finish! The car was better, the racing was intense, and we learned a ton throughout the night.

A huge thank you to Rice Lake Speedway for putting on a fantastic event and welcoming us to the track. We definitely look forward to making the trip back!

And how about Davey Pennel?! He was absolutely on a mission this weekend, sweeping both nights and taking home the hardware! Congratulations on an impressive weekend! 🏆🏆

Overall, we're happy with two top-6 finishes at two tracks we've never raced a Legend Car at before. We're getting closer, learning every lap, and having a blast doing it. The speed is coming... and we're hungry for more! 😎💨

Today is the start of the HUGE back to back weekend, you will not want to miss this. Legend drivers if you could please bring a W9 form for each track that will help speed up the check in process.

Bill had a great night last night running the 66 car in WOOT by MDITV, running street stocks at Texas Speedway, started P14 and picked up 10 spots to finish P4. Then it was off to Talledega Superspeedway in the Indy IR18 car where he started P17, used lots of patience, got some luck and moved up 14 spots and pulled off a podium P3. Hopefully we can pass some of the luck to Chris for the big back to back this weekend at Red Cedar Speedway and Rice Lake Speedway.

🏁💙 Sleep Racing is Proud to Welcome Family Promise's Hike for the Homeless as a New Partner! 💙🏁

At Sleep Racing, we're excited to support organizations that make a real difference in our community, and Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley's Hike for the Homeless is one of those incredible events! This annual event helps raise awareness and funds for Beacon House, which provides emergency shelter, case management, and support services for families experiencing homelessness right here in the Chippewa Valley. Beacon House helps families get back on their feet and move toward stable housing and a brighter future.

The 23rd Annual Hike for the Homeless will take place at River Prairie Park in Altoona Tuesday Aug. 18th and features a community walk, raffle prizes, silent auction items, and an opportunity for all of us to come together to support local families in need. Every dollar raised stays local and helps support the life-changing work being done through Family Promise and Beacon House.
