🏁 THAT’S A WRAP ON 2026! 🏁
Our final race weekend at Crandon International Raceway officially closes out our rookie season in the Champ Off-Road Youth SxS class! We didn’t set goals this year. With a limited schedule, our focus was simply to learn, gain experience, and keep getting faster—and we did plenty of that. 💪
Thursday: Practice in the morning, race in the afternoon. We put a fresh set of Yokohama Geolandar A/T4s from SimpleTire.com to work, and they were hooked up on the dry track. Bennett finished P14/15.
Friday was all about the Crandon experience! We hit the Labor Day Parade, handed out our special America 250 homemade kettle corn and simple_tire cards, then swapped race fuel for chili spoons at the VDE Chili Cook-Off… and came home with 🥈 2nd place!
Saturday brought some clutching changes in the search for more speed. We overcorrected, which gave us some bogging issues. After the rain, we also switched to tires better suited for the heavier track- the Hoosier Bites. Bennett finished P13/15.
And just like that, our rookie season is in the books. 📖🏁 We learned A LOT, made some incredible memories, and can’t wait to see what year two brings!

Back to school today! 📚✏️
Thankfully, Bennett only has to survive TWO days of 7th grade before heading to Crandon International Raceway for the kind of education you can’t get in a classroom. 😂🏁
Because apparently, life lessons are better learned at 55+ MPH, covered in dirt, and occasionally accompanied by a little mechanical failure. 😎
