Trails have changed...and we're in the process of updating the maps to reflect the changes.
Why change the trails you ask? Well, because the #1 issue users report is the trail layout being confusing. Long term goals continue to be reducing the number of intersections to make it easier to navigate, and increasing the fun of course.
Northwest Park
Northwest Community Park
Eau Claire, WI At Northwest Community Park, you will find ski trails and also single track trails for hiking and mountain biking.
Ski trails are groomed for skate and classic skiing in the winter and the single track trails are maintained and groomed by local volunteers.
This is a tough time of the year, too nice to be indoors but the trails are too soft to enjoy. Patience trail lovers....Patience!!!
Trails groomed! Low hanging branches shaken, and downed branches cleared!
Ski trail also groomed and looks amazing. Get out and enjoy!

The day after Christmas and Santa is still working to deliver some gifts to trail users. He knows CORBA has struggled to convey a few messages to trail users, and he also knows putting up ugly signs and fences isn't their favorite thing to do.
Simply follow the rules and the signs and fences come down. Please respect volunteers efforts to provide ALL trail users with the best possible experience.
Single track all groomed and ready to enjoy with snowshoes or fat bikes. Hopefully it sets up well with the cold weather, but for now low pressure and snowshoes are key!

CORBA Trails Need Your Help! We take pride in offering our users the best experience possible, and we’ve got some of the best volunteers anyone can ask for….we just need more of them! We are looking for eager, motivated, and able bodied individuals for the following activities. All qualified volunteers will receive training and MUST be given authorization prior to performing any activities.
Clearing downed trees with a chainsaw: Ideally we would get a group of people willing to help, and get them FISTA certified/trained by an outside organization. Experience running a chainsaw is required, all equipment and PPE provided by CORBA.
Mowing trails: CORBA uses walk behind DR mowers for the majority of trail mowing. It is a very physically demanding task, and may require transporting the CORBA DR mowers to trail systems.
Trimming Trails: CORBA uses string trimmers in areas that are difficult to reach with the DR mower. All equipment and PPE will be provided by CORBA.
Trail Builder (mechanized equipment)L We’ve got two awesome trail building machines, and not enough time to use them. If you’ve got the experience we would love to chat with you.
