⚾️ JV Game Update vs Menomonie ⚾️

JV Abes bounce back after a tough week and break out the bats against Menomonie, picking up a 12-4 win.

Evan Casto turned in another strong outing on the mound, going five innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out five. Jeff Moretto finished off the final two innings, allowing no earned runs and adding a strikeout to close things out.

The offense came alive in a big way, led by Miles Olson (4-5, double, 4 RBIs, 3 runs), Evan Casto (3-5, double, 4 RBIs, 1 run), and Jeff Moretto (2-3).

Abe Play of the Game: In the second inning, Brady Pendergast put together one of those at-bats coaches love to see. After falling behind 0-2, he battled all the way back to a full count, spoiled several pitches, and eventually wore a hit-by-pitch to keep the inning alive and put more ducks on the pond, helping spark a huge inning for the Abes.
