Yoga is not about how you look in a pose, but how you feel. It’s important to check in with yourself and ask: How do I feel today? What do I need today? Do I need more of something, or less?
Sometimes we move too fast, trying to do all the things without taking the time to pause, check in, and slow down. This is what yoga has helped me with. It’s the practice of being with yourself in the present moment and giving yourself permission to offer yourself what you need.

The creator of Pilates, Joe originally named his movements Contrology, control of all the muscles in the body.
“Contrology develops the body uniformly,
corrects wrong postures,
restores physical vitality,
invigorates the mind,
and elevates the spirit.”
~Joe Pilates
This practice not only supports the physical body but the mind and spirit too. In our busy world it can be difficult to focus, in Pilates it's hard to think of anything else when you are increasing your breath awareness and strengthening your mind to body connection.
I am here to support you or yourself and a partner! Ready to start? Send me a message or book online.

Candace is the owner of Love Yourself Massage and started working with me to help prepare for a half marathon. She is a hard worker and does other strength training on the side. Her determination shows!
The benefits from a consistent Pilates practice will show "In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a completely new body" - Joe Pilates. This practice highlights the importance of lengthening and strengthening muscles, learning to breath, finding balance, and so much more.
Are you ready to try? Give me a call or leave a voicemail, I'd be happy to work with you!

A butterfly doesn’t become a butterfly overnight.
There is a process of becoming. A season of slowing down, surrendering, growing, and changing in ways that may not make sense at first.
The struggle is part of the transformation.
Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in our own version of a chrysalis. We may feel stuck, uncertain, or like we’re not making progress. But beneath the surface, change is happening.
Growth requires patience. It asks us to trust the process even when we can’t yet see what we are becoming.
And perhaps the most beautiful part is that we often cannot predict what will emerge from the struggle. The version of ourselves waiting on the other side may be more resilient, more grounded, and more beautiful than anything we could have imagined.
So if you’re in a season of becoming, be patient with yourself.
You are not stuck.
You are growing.
You are becoming. 🦋

My last Big Falls Yoga of the summer was so lovely. “Be here now” was our intention, to get distracted by nature and practice moving mindfully. Honoring what the body needs and acknowledging that means looking different than your neighbor. We looked up stream watching the sunlight sparkle on the surface, the birds soaring above, and the wind in the trees set the scene. Followed by a refreshing dip in the river. Thank you to everyone who came out to connect and be surrounded by nature.🌞🌊

I had the honor of teaching yoga at Camp Manitou for Family camp this weekend. So many parents and young adults joined in and we moved our bodies at The Point overlooking Long Lake. Beautiful experience and a wonderful place!
