There’s something incredibly special about carrying the American flag into the arena that I carry the title for. Even more proud that it was for the South Central Horse Show Association (SCHSA).
I’ve been participating in this show ever since I was little, growing up riding into this arena and making memories year after year. As a kid, I always dreamed that someday I would have the honor of carrying Old Glory. To finally have that dream come true, in my home arena, was a moment I’ll never forget.
And getting to share it with some of my favorite girls, make it even more special. My heart horse, Carma, may be getting a little older, but she can still fly through the ring with a flag just like she always has.
Of course, my beloved Hazel had to come along too! She loves coming to events, especially rodeos and watching me ride.
I was also so happy to get a photo with Rylie Dorich, Miss Rodeo Triple R Coteau Princess, who attended and participated in the events. She helped out so much and even joined me in Grand Entry.
From being a little kid, to finally riding through the arena carrying our American flag, this memory will always hold a special place in my heart. 🇺🇸
