We LOVE transformations!!

Gabby says... "helped me work on my leadership."

"Bossibly is absolutely amazing. I was referred to her by a friend as I was struggling with an impossible to manage employee. They created a customized coaching plan to guide me in the right direction and gave me the tools to manage this employee as well as how to best manage the other team members. They also helped me work on my leadership statement and how best to put these tools into practice. The tools they provided me will not only help with my current situation, but are tools I will take with me in future positions. With their guidance, I feel confident that I can manage through most situations and now have the appropriate tools to help me be successful. Thank you for believing in me and helping to guide me towards learning not overuse my love and kindness. :-)"

We're on a letting go of stuff kick so here's another poem nudging you to get rid of your baggage. ;-)

Letting go of stuff -- by Amy Rodeffer Thompson
I’ve struggled accepting gifts
Even as a kid, I suspect I would have preferred candy or cookies
As an adult, I say “I want experiences not things”
While true, it’s deeper than that

Frugal to a fault, I wouldn’t give to myself
Years of feeling unworthy
The shoulds and have tos were strong
The need to justify everything
Fearful to appear needy or high-maintenance
Especially to myself

That perspective makes for a hand-me-down life

Exacerbated by a difficult relationship
Where retail therapy was part of our perversion
Mounds of carefully curated STUFF
That I was expected to be grateful for
A heavy burden

Now - an intention to purify my living space
Rid myself of that which no longer serves me
Strong emotions stirred up
Confusing until I see the connection

Gifts bring up Obligation
Old habits kick up
Frozen, I deliberate over the simplest of items
Energy attached to things
Memories, feelings attached to those
Difficult to toss out or donate

Clarity -
Someone bought this and gave it to me
Therefore it must be important
Because this is how they see me
And what someone else sees is most important

Shock
That’s what’s rolling around in there?

Ok, baby girl
Take a breath
Yes, gratitude has a place
But Lord have mercy
You are much greater that someone’s material expression of you

These things are not you
You get to decide what stays or goes
Because you are the one living with these items
You only surround yourself with stuff you want to keep moving forward

You don’t owe anyone anything

Just finished reading the Baggage Handler, which reminded me of Amy's Cleaning House poem. Are you letting go of your baggage?

Cleaning House -- by Amy Rodeffer Thompson
Getting rid of stuff
Old memories
Obligations from the past
Bagged, ready to go

It’s been a process
A long, protracted one
Peeling back layers of feelings, emotions
It’s not about the things
It never is

I lived in a world of lack
Despite the ability to provide
A self-made prison
In which I held the keys
Yet refused to put them in the lock

Never buying for myself
Things were given to me
A hand-me-down world
Embittered, burdened
Implicit expectation of gratitude
A heavy price to pay

A lifetime collecting
Other peoples’ ideas of what I want
Paralyzed by old programming
What if someday I’ll need this?
How could I possibly throw this away?
It’s worth something - I should sell it!

That day isn’t coming
If it does - buy a new one
You know you aren’t going to sell a thing
Let it go. All of it.

Tears, releasing the emotional weight
Other people’s stuff with my name on it
Freedom to decide what is mine now
Free to release the rest

Healing comes in many forms
Some days clearing out a closet is exhausting
In the best possible way

It’s not about the stuff
It never is
