🏈 Week 4 is in the books.

It was a tough week for Seahawks Football, with many of our teams taking on some of their biggest challenges of the season. A few came out on top, but unfortunately, the majority fell short this week finishing 4–6 as an org.

Wins and losses are both part of the game. There’s plenty to learn from, plenty to build on, and another opportunity ahead.

A huge congratulations to one of our 9U Coaches, Jacob Bender, who was selected for induction into the Nicholls State University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026! 👏

Following his college career, Jacob was selected by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft, taking his football career to the professional level.

Now, we’re lucky enough to have him sharing that experience, knowledge, and love of the game with the next generation right here at SRYA.

Congratulations, Coach Jake! We’re proud to have you as part of the SRYA Football family! 🏈💙
