Training for the game. Preparing for life.
8% of High School Athletes will go on to play college baseball.
2% of of College Athletes will go on to play professionally.
For those that want it, we strive to give them the tools and the desire to get there.
But a lot of players won’t, and that’s not a bad thing. Which is why our facility preaches CHARACTER, SPORTSMANSHIP, TEAM, and HARDWORK.
These qualities might help you get to the next level. No matter what, they’ll prepare you for life.
How to train a direct bat path.
Constraint-led training is super helpful for young players especially. By forcing a player to work within certain boundaries and attain certain objectives (ex. Low line drive to centerfield) they build the “muscle-memory” that is essential to nailing important foundations of the swing.
A direct bat path might look different for a lot of players, but the goal remains the same: to be efficient in the swing. A lot players fall prey to dropping their hands or swinging underneath the ball (high attack angle). Try these drills to build a direct and flatter bat path!
