Power isn’t just about moving fast.
It’s about being able to produce a lot of force—and then express that force quickly.
That’s why At BDA we often pair a heavy strength movement with an explosive power movement in the same training block.
The heavy lift builds the athlete’s ability to produce force. Then the explosive movement teaches the body to use that force at high speed.
Strength → Force Production → Speed → Power
This style of contrast training can help improve motor-unit recruitment, rate of force development, and the athlete’s ability to turn weight-room strength into something that actually transfers to competition.
For baseball and softball players, that means training qualities that can contribute to harder swings, faster acceleration, more explosive rotation, and better overall athletic performance.
We don’t just want athletes who are strong.
We want athletes who can use their strength fast.
That’s exactly how we program inside our BDA Fall Ball System.
Structured phases. Purposeful supersets. No random workouts.
