Two distinct worlds in South Texas wrestling are joining forces.

When CAPW General Manager Casey Cantu realized it had been nearly a year since Fortuna Wrestling last ran a show, a conversation with Danny Chance set things in motion. One phone call to Fortuna founder Alvaro Rio later, a major collaboration was born.

Citrus All-Pro Wrestling and Fortuna Wrestling are coming together at Citrus Live Theater for a special joint event. Lucha libre meets deep South Texas culture, drawing inspiration from the generational folklore and stories that must not die.

Growing up in the 956, ‘Stories That Must Not Die’ captured the imagination of border kids on both sides of the Rio Grande, aquí y allá, preserving the folklore that made La Llorona, The Handsome Stranger, The Devil’s Lagoon, and countless other tales part of growing up in the Valley.

Fortuna Texas Wrestling and Citrus All Pro Wrestling will be carrying that same spirit into the ring.
