WAY OF THE ATHLETE RETURNS TO OKLAHOMA!!

OKRVA and are excited to help share an upcoming opportunity for our volleyball community — the Way of the Athlete Experience, led by Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, is coming back to Boombox Beach Club and Oklahoma City!

Hosted by the p1440 Foundation, Way of the Athlete is a high-impact training experience for youth and adult athletes, blending elite volleyball instruction with mindset, confidence, and holistic athlete development.

Athletes will train directly with Kerri and her coaching team, focusing on:
• Volleyball fundamentals and skill development
• Mental toughness, confidence, and mindset strategies
• Mindfulness, breathwork, and purposeful movement
• Building strong foundations for performance on and off the court

For those who joined in on the fun last year, Way of the Athlete 2026 will once again feature hands-on coaching with Kerri and her team, now delivered through an updated structure and enhanced training experience. Whether you’re returning or attending for the first time, early registration is highly encouraged.

Session Options:
• Saturday – Youth Indoor: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Saturday – Adult Beach: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday – Youth Beach: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Spots are limited. This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most accomplished athletes in volleyball while developing skills that extend far beyond the game.

For questions and additional information about the event, please visit the p1440 Foundation website.

From our friends at USA Volleyball … visit https://okrva.com/2026-safesport-updates/ for new SafeSport information and more.

•••••
As we start the new year, USA Volleyball would like to note that there is a new SafeSport Code, and we ask that you take the time to read it as you head into tournaments. The new code takes effect Jan. 1, 2026.

The SafeSport Code sets consistent standards for responding to and resolving claims of abuse and misconduct within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. It’s essential that all members of USA Volleyball comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Code.

The SafeSport Code defines the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s authority, the prohibited categories of abuse and misconduct, and the process for addressing and resolving claims.

For any additional questions or information, please contact our Region office.
