I am late in posting this from this past Monday's tournament at The Territory. The course was in great shape and delivered the golf experience everyone was looking forward to.

2026 Battle at The Territory
A 64-player field at The Territory followed another strong turnout at Kickingbird, giving these events the two largest fields of the year. Players were excited for the opportunity to compete on one of Oklahoma’s premier golf courses. Across five divisions, competitors teed off under cloudy skies, facing a challenging layout made even more difficult by steady winds.
The highlight of the day came at the par-3 13th hole. In his first tournament, Thurman Lynch of Norman stepped up to the 168-yard shot, which plays over water with a bunker guarding the front of the green. Using a 7-iron, Lynch hit his shot above the hole onto a ridge. As the ball rolled back down, it found the cup for a remarkable hole-in-one—his second career ace.
The Amateur Players Tour offers a Hole-in-One Club for $30 per year. Members earn $500 for any ace, with one designated hole at each event paying out $2,500. Unfortunately, Lynch was not enrolled in the club, so he was not eligible for the prize money. Still, it’s a moment he will never forget. What a shot, Thurman!
