Studies have shown that visualization will help your mind create a neural pattern for whatever it is you’re visualizing. This means that you’re training your brain for physical performance even though you’re not taking any physical action! If you’re not in a positive state of mind, don’t do it. Try going outside for a few minutes, come back and try again. Next, use all of your senses. The more detailed and more “real” you make it, the more effective it will be. Lastly, get your emotions involved. Really feel what it is like to go through that experience. Visualization can’t replace hard work and practice, but combined with it, it will absolutely increase your chances of achieving your goals. Practice this regularly to help set yourself up for success.

This is what I have been surrounded by for a couple of days after my daughters party. Listen people I like pizza and donuts but give me a break! When this is whats going on I try to drink a large glass of water and eat an apple. I have also done this when I know there is going to be nothing but sweets at a party. This will help you to say “no thanks” a lot more easily when you get there… and help you to avoid that self-inflicted guilt and upset stomach the next day.
Park farther away when you go shopping this Christmas. Things as simple as taking the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator can really add up in your daily caloric expenditure. The center of Disease Control and Prevention says that if you spend as little as 10 minutes a day walking up and down stairs, you could lose as much as 10 pounds in one year.

When you’re checking your food labels for ingredients, it’s equally important to make sure you’re paying attention to a couple of other key things on there! Knowing the serving size, the difference between reduced and low fat, and understanding what zero and “free” means are something you should definitely be aware of. Here’s a great article that breaks all of this down for you: http://www.shape.com/blogs/weight-loss-coach/5-nutrition-label-tricks-avoid

It’s important to remind yourself the “why” as well as the “what” any time you’re setting a new goal, breaking a habit, or making a change in your life. Your WHY is one of THE most important things that’ll keep you going when the excuses or hesitations rear their head. Think about one goal that is really important to you right now. Write down your "WHY" for reaching that goal. If you can't come up with at least one really great answer, create another goal!

I don't care what side you are on this is funny. Both sides can be misleading so my best advise is to break it down to the most simplest factors. Would this food/meal/snack get me closer to my goal or further away? Does it have ingredients that I cannot pronounce or have not looked up? Even organic foods can pull you away from your goals. Cabbage is one of mine. It can be pulled right out of the ground from my back-yard and it would still give my stomach fits. Know your goals and feed them not your regrets. http://ow.ly/ythZ30dOGcm
The Natural Effect Learn more online at http://bit.ly/1aWC0H1. "The False Advertising Industry" reveals the shocking truth about what is allowed in "Natural" food....
Ok so I saw this "tip" the other day. It might be considered natural but you can be the judge: While we encourage chewing, that list does NOT include gum. Here’s why…. it can contribute to TMJ, upset your gut, and even release mercury from your fillings if you have any. Also, most brands are loaded with nothing but artificial ingredients with zero nutrition. If you’re concerned about having fresh breath, try chewing a peppermint leaf. Have you ever tried this before?

Another great way to get your greens in, is to DRINK instead of eat them! Try a “green lemonade” juice to switch things up. It will give you a huge boost of energy and keep your blood sugar levels balanced. You don’t even need a juicer, just a blender. Here’s an awesome recipe to try: http://ow.ly/XLHx30dOCsb
Blended Green Lemonade | Detoxinista This green smoothie features all of the ingredients that I love and has lots fiber from fruits and vegetables, making it a more filling breakfast...

Like it or not, we’re influenced by the 5 people that we spend the most time with in our lives. It affects everything from our financial situation, to the decisions we make, to our personalities. Think about if the people you spend the most time with are supportive, encouraging, and truly care about you. If not, reconsider who ‘s in your “inner circle!” The quality of your life depends on it. Agree, disagree!? What do you think?

Want to know a great way to help with portion control and make yourself eat more slowly?! Try cutting your food into smaller pieces! You’ll feel like you’re actually eating more food and it will slow you down as you eat. Any time I go out for sushi, I ask the chef to cut it into smaller pieces than they normally do. Give this a try at home or out to eat and you’ll see a noticeable difference.

I saw this in a O’Reilly’s bathroom of all places. We cannot control the food industry but we can control where, what and how much.
