Welcome to the DCVB Family!

Hi!! I’m Madison Slimp and I’m so excited to be the new JV coach! I played both club and school volleyball from ages 12–18 and have now been coaching for 5 years at the club level. I also previously served as the middle school head coach at OCA, which helped grow my love for developing athletes.

A few fun facts about me- I love spending time with my husband (who is a firefighter), my goldendoodle Peanut (my spoiled baby), and my family. I’m also a HUGE Dr Pepper fan… like, if there were a sponsorship opportunity, I’d be first in line.

I’m beyond excited to be at Deer Creek and can’t wait to coach, mentor, and build relationships with these girls this season!

Welcome back to the DCVB family as varsity assistant coach.

My name is Georgia Byers. I graduated from Deer Creek. I played on varsity all 4 years. I also played for Peak from the age of 12-18, then went to college at SNU to play for a semester. As of now I am working towards selling insurance with my family. I am so excited to be a coach at Deer Creek so I can share what I have learned over the years and help the athletes expand their knowledge in the game.

Hi! I’m Julie Schmiedeskamp, and I’m excited to join Deer Creek High School as the new freshman volleyball coach! Volleyball has been a big part of my life through club and college competition, and I’m passionate about helping athletes grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork. My husband, Rudi, and I have a young volleyball player of our own at home, Lali, and a dog named Maui. I’m excited to get started and be part of the Deer Creek family!
