There really is such a thing as too much choice when it comes to carpet samples... especially when you are trying to replace all the carpet & rugs but each has a different purpose.

A little project we've had working in the background...

The kids play space. It started out deep red, and honestly, I always knew it could be so much better than it was.

It only took 2 years to make it happen - AND LOTS of energy, time, money, and help. Best thing I did for this space was to partner with the Container Store and have them design a Custom Space for the kids - one that will grow and change with them as their needs and interests change too. Using all 9 feet of vertical space was super important to me as well.

The space is now so conducive to creative play, and all their stuff seems to be fairly well contained on the regular now. It's enjoyable enough that my 13 yo actually leaves her bedroom for this shared play space.

Another house project in the books.

Clear glass office doors, to privacy panels. Easily done, just a little sweat and about 30 minutes of my evening.

But, over all - significantly improved. Now I don't feel guilty for leaving that room in an occasionally messy state, because sometimes you just can't clean up creative genius.

Maybe I can hide in there on a Saturday afternoon and the kids won't see me? 🤷‍♀️ It's worth trying! (Not really hiding, but it would be nice to have some quiet to get some work done!)
