Chris Ragan deserves a hell of a thank-you.

Most people see the boys on the track. We get to see the time and effort Chris puts in to help get them there.

Long nights in the shop. Bikes to prepare. Something to fix. Another setup decision before the next time out. Chris keeps putting in the work, and Braxton, Jackson and Wesley all benefit from it.

But these pictures say something that a list of jobs never could. The conversations before a race. A hand on the shoulder. A hug when it all comes together. These kids know he’s in their corner.

We’ve talked before about the scramble to get an engine back together before Lima. That kind of commitment deserves more than a quick mention at the bottom of a race recap.

Chris, I appreciate everything you pour into this program and all three boys. Your time, your knowledge, and the fact that you care about them far beyond the results sheet.

You’re a huge part of Unsettled Racing, and we’re fortunate to have you.

Solid weekend for Unsettled Racing.

Jax and Wes took on Lima and handled themselves well on a track that will expose you in a hurry. A couple podiums, a 4th and a 7th. Nothing crazy, but both boys rode well, learned a lot, and left better than they showed up.

Brax had a hell of a night in Pekin. He podiumed 3rd in the Donnie Bargman Pro/Am, then backed it up with wins in both 450 A and Open A.

Lima was about experience. Pekin was about results.

Good weekend. Keep building.

We’re out here having a blast in California. Huge thanks to The Flat Track at Honolulu Hills for the hospitality. This place is amazing and so glad I get to do these things. We’re gunna ride again today/tonight before moving on to a few days of relaxing at some friends house before racing Lodi Motorcycle Club Thursday. Then it’s another Cory Texter Promotions Showcase race at Chico, CA Friday and hopefully another shot at the Road 2 AFT class on Saturday before we start the trek back to Illinois. The biggest thank you ever to everyone that helps make this life I get to live possible cause I am loving it right now!

What a night in Lodi! Felt fast right out of the van, made a small suspension change and a gear change after qualifying only a tenth off the fast time and the bike was perfect from then on. Was able to win my heat with the fastest time giving me pole position for the Dash for Ca$h and Main Event. I was able to grab the win in both of those uncontested and even got to give my dad a victory lap! This whole trip has been nothing short of amazing with all the hospitality from Jeff Katarzy(and family) The Flat Track at Honolulu Hills, and everyone else out here on the west coast! Today’s the first of the last two races here in California and we’re at Silver Dollar Speedway for the Cory Texter Promotions Showcase Event. Hopefully today is a repeat of yesterday and we can have some more great results for all the awesome people that have funded this trip and my racing in general. Here’s my Dash 4 Ca$h! I got excited when they said we was gunna be on the new cushion ST for the dashes, my two days at The Flat Track at Honolulu Hills training on their sweet cushion ST came in handy! Getting an extra $500 for playing with dirt scooters is always a good day!

Saturday was the first TT of the year for us, which I really wish we got to race more of cause I love racing a TT track. We went to Pekin Motorcycle Club for my first D17 race on a 450 and I entered 3 classes, 450am, Open A, and Pro/Am. As the night went on we made change after change to the bike setup trying to get it dialed in. I think for awhile we made big changes every time I left the track after each practice and heat race and even after the first main too, but it all worked out in the end. Grabbed 2nd in 450am behind Jesse Janish, 3rd after stalling it on the line in Open A, and 2nd in Pro/Am. It was a late night but I had a blast and can’t wait for more TT races to come up. I’m taking next weekend off to attend some graduation party’s and just hang out with my friends and then we will be back at it in Pennsylvania for the Williams Grove round of Cory Texter Promotions.
