Under Coach Wes’s Leadership The Grossmont Women’s Basketball Program Has Achieved One Of The Best Record’s And Rankings In Program HISTORY ! With a 13-2 Overall Record, 2-0 Current Conference Record and Ranked #19 In The State, In Just His 1st Year He Has The Women’s Basketball Program Trending In The Right Direction. The Culture, Energy and Mindset He Has Instilled Into This Program Has Been a Joy To Witness.
Here’s What Coach Wes Had To Say About Everything :
“If you know me you know I don’t even feel like it’s my 1st year 😅 Sometimes I forget that I’m new because I carry myself like I’ve been here before. I’ve prepared myself for this moment my entire life. I’m so in my element when it comes to leading the next generation of Lady Hoopers and guiding them both on and off the court. When I started out recruiting, I locked in on players who were likeminded. Players who shared a similar love and passion for the game as I do. I have such a special group that’s completely bought in to what I’m teaching them. I have their upmost respect and they have mine. The positive connection between them and I starts with how I treat them. I lead with my heart in everything I do and my girls feel that and appreciate that about me. I hold myself accountable in all aspects so they do the same. We don’t cut corners or make excuses. We put in the work and prepare like pros. They know I genuinely care about their well being before anything else. I will forever have their best interest at heart and that’s allowed me to form such tight bonds with them and bring out the best in them”
