THIS IS HOW YOU BUILD FIGHTERS.

Another 2v2, but this one is about more than winning.

Our newer fighters are given opportunities to recognize openings, communicate, set up tactics, and execute a plan under pressure while the more experienced fighters practice controlling the fight instead of simply overwhelming them.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

And sometimes you get so caught up in it that you forget you’re dead and get back up. 😂

That’s how we learn. That’s how experience gets passed down.

Train. Fight. Learn. Pay it forward.

2v2. FOUR FIGHTERS. ONE LYST.

Things get chaotic fast when it stops being one-on-one.

Now you’re not just managing the person in front of you. You’re tracking your teammate, watching angles, managing distance, looking for openings, and trying not to discover—too late—that somebody with an axe has found your blind side.

A little 2v2 action from Texas Armored Combat, with some smash cuts because apparently getting hit with steel wasn’t enough violence for the video editor.

This is where individual skill starts becoming teamwork.

Communicate. Move. Protect your teammate. Create opportunities.

And when the plan inevitably goes sideways?

Adapt and keep fighting.

Texas Armored Combat
Real armor. Real steel. Real fights.

Train. Fight. Learn. Repeat.

09/06/2026

THERE’S NO PAUSE BUTTON IN THE LYST.

This one is a great example of how quickly an armored fight can change.

One moment there’s space to work. The next, that space disappears and the fight turns into a battle for position, balance, and control against the rail.

That’s where experience gets built.

You learn when to advance, when to give ground, how to keep working when somebody gets their hands on you—and, most importantly, how to stay calm enough to make decisions while the fight gets increasingly chaotic.

Our fighters are still developing, and that’s exactly why we love sharing these rounds. You’re getting to watch them learn this sport in real time.

Every fight exposes something.
Every fight teaches something.
Then we take those lessons back to training.

More from our Game Guys event still to come.

08/25/2026

Sometimes it starts cautiously. Sometimes somebody decides to skip the introductions entirely.

This one from our Game Guys event is a great look at what happens when fighters have room to move, adjust, and start solving the person standing across from them in real time.

Watch the distance open and close. Watch the pressure change. Watch how quickly a plan has to change once steel starts moving and somebody decides they don’t particularly care what your plan was. 😂

That’s part of what makes armored combat so much fun to watch—and even better to experience. You can drill technique all day, but eventually you have to step into the lyst and find out what works.

We’re building that experience one fight at a time.

Huge thanks again to Game Guys Entertainment for giving us a place to put on a show, and to Honour Kraft for supporting Texas Armored Combat and helping us keep our fighters in steel.

THIS is armored combat.

There’s a point in every fight where the plan stops being the plan.

Distance closes. Steel starts moving. Somebody gets driven into the rail, the fight turns into a wrestling match in armor, and suddenly the only thing that matters is staying on your feet and figuring out the problem in front of you.

This fight from our Game Guys event is a great example of exactly that.

There’s still plenty for these fighters to learn—and that’s the point. Every minute inside the lyst teaches something that practice alone can’t. Timing, balance, pressure, awareness, aggression, and learning to keep thinking when another armored human being is actively trying to put you on the floor.

You don’t have to be great to start. You have to start if you ever want to become great.

We’re building fighters one round, one lesson, and occasionally one trip into the rail at a time. 😂

Come train. Come learn. Come find out what you’re made of.

⚔️ THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE ARMOR. ⚔️

A shot of some of the crew from last weekend’s event at Game Guys Entertainment.

The fights are what everyone comes to see—but this right here is what makes those fights possible.

Behind every person who steps into the lyst are people hauling equipment, tightening armor, checking weapons, helping fighters gear up, keeping things organized, and stepping in wherever they’re needed. Some fight. Some support. Most of us end up doing a little bit of everything.

And that’s how this gets built.

We’re still growing. We’re still learning. We’re still figuring out what we’re capable of—but every event puts another brick in the foundation.

Huge thanks to Game Guys for having us, to everyone who came out to watch, and especially to the people who put in the work alongside us.

Texas Armored Combat isn’t just the people wearing steel. It’s the people standing beside them.

⚔️ THIS WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING. ⚔️

A few hundred people came through to see what happens when you put armored combat in the middle of the community—and judging by the crowds around the lyst, we got their attention.

But there was something bigger happening here than steel hitting steel.

We had longtime fighters and first-timers. Families and kids pressed against the rails. People who came specifically to see us and people who had absolutely no idea what they were walking into. Different backgrounds, different interests, different corners of the community—all standing together watching the same thing.

And alongside HOPE:ON, a nonprofit working to bring people and communities together, it felt particularly fitting.

Armored combat may have been the spectacle, but community was the story.

We captured a TON from this event—great fights, great photographs, some hard lessons, plenty of laughs, and more than a few moments we’re excited to show you.

So consider this the first picture.

Over the next few days/weeks, we’re going to show you what happened inside that lyst.

Keep an eye on the page. ⚔️🛡️

Texas Armored Combat
Come for the armor. You might just find your people.

There’s a lot happening in this one.

Four fighters. Four shields… well, almost. Will was told to leave the shield behind and see how dual-wielding worked out for him. The rest were focused on staying on their feet, keeping their heads on a swivel, and looking for an opening.

Then there’s Shawn.

Ever since Roman’s now-infamous “dwarf toss” incident, Shawn has made it his personal mission to put hands on Roman whenever the opportunity presents itself. 😄

That’s one of the things we love about this sport. Every fight tells a story. Sometimes it’s strategy. Sometimes it’s learning. Sometimes it’s settling a friendly score from the last event.

At the end of the day, the hits are real, the laughs are louder, and everyone leaves a little better than they arrived.

⚔️ Think you’ve got what it takes? No experience is necessary, and we have loaner gear available. Come train with Texas Armored Combat and write your own story.

Some friendships are built in classrooms, on playgrounds, and through years of growing up together.

Now these two get to build something new together.

They have been friends since the second half of grade school, and this was their first time stepping into armored combat. They do not have polished technique yet. They are still learning distance, timing, balance, and how to move in armor.

But they showed up together, fought hard, and gave each other everything they had.

That is one of the greatest opportunities this sport offers: you do not have to begin alone.

Bring a friend. Learn together. Push each other. Make mistakes together. Improve together. One day, you may look back and realize that the person who stood beside you at the beginning also helped you become stronger along the way.

At Texas Armored Combat, we are not only building fighters. We are creating a place where friendships can be tested, strengthened, and carried forward through shared effort.

Bring your people. Build together. Grow together.
