Taegeuk Chil Jang: Stand Like a Mountain
Taegeuk Chil Jang, Chapter Seven, represents Mountain. Steady, grounded, and unshakable.
Students at this stage learn to root themselves with confidence, hold their ground under pressure, and move with deliberate, powerful technique. Just like a mountain, every motion reflects stability, strength, and unwavering focus.
This form reminds us that progress comes from standing firm, staying centered, and meeting challenges with calm determination.
True strength isn’t loud, it’s the quiet, steady presence that never wavers.

Yesterday’s biggest challenge at EDHTKD wasn’t the kicks, the forms, or the cardio… it was pretending we didn’t want to be the official taste‑testers for our adult student’s legendary baked goods. This time it was salted caramel cookies with choc chunks and pretzels.
We “reluctantly” stepped up as guinea pigs, purely out of duty, of course, and once again ended up enjoying the best treats ever.
Huge shoutout to the real MVP of snack time, Mrs. Marizette. You rock it in class and in the kitchen. Our willpower never stood a chance.

Looks like summer is starting early and is officially turning up the volume next week! ☀️ With some serious heat headed our way, now is the time to start prepping. Make sure you’re staying ahead of the game by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Don't wait until you step onto the mats to start hydrating! 🥤💦
To keep you cool while you train, we are actively addressing our studio's insulation to ensure a great, comfortable training temperature on the mat no matter how hot it gets outside. We're keeping the energy high, so come ready to sweat, crush your goals, and look out for even more exciting EDH TKD improvements coming your way soon. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and we'll see you on the mat! 🥋❄️

Taegeuk Yuk Jang: Move Like Water
Taegeuk Yuk Jang, Chapter Six, represents Water. It is calm, adaptable, and endlessly persistent.
Students at this stage learn to flow around obstacles, stay composed under pressure, and move with smooth, controlled technique. Just like water, every motion blends patience, flexibility, and quiet strength.
This form teaches us that true power isn’t always forceful, sometimes it’s the steady, flowing energy that reshapes everything in its path.
