Cesar Garcia didn’t complicate it:

Then he said something every offensive lineman understands:

The offensive line is the backbone of the team.

Consistency. Trust. Chemistry. Knowing the guy next to you is going to handle his job.

Cesar says this Hanks line has elite chemistry, and when they’re out there together, he’s playing with his brothers.

That’s offensive line football.

THEY MADE CORONADO THE HOMECOMING GAME. 👀🏈

Christian Frias said the Thunderbirds noticed.

“We took it as disrespect.”

Coronado went into Del Valle’s homecoming and came away with the win, and Frias says that homecoming designation gave the Thunderbirds a little extra motivation to go show out. ⚡️

🏈 NEW WEEKLY AWARD: DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🏈

The offense has had its spotlight. Now we’re showing some love to the other side of the ball.

Starting this week, the 915 HS Football Insiders will recognize a Defensive Player of the Week alongside our Offensive Player of the Week and People Mover Challenge.

We’re looking for the defenders who **wreck the game plan:

🛑 Tackles & tackles for loss
💥 Sacks & QB pressure
🏈 Interceptions & forced turnovers
🔒 Pass breakups & lockdown coverage
⚡ Goal-line stands and game-changing plays

NOMINATIONS OPEN THURSDAY NIGHT.

Coaches, players, parents and fans can submit nominations. Include the player’s name, school, position and a VERIFIED stat line from that week’s game.

This isn’t automatically going to whoever has the biggest tackle number. Impact matters. Situation matters. Winning football matters.

Hanks wide receiver Joshua Cortez is averaging **27.7 yards per catch** through four games. Against Pebble Hills, he hauled in seven passes for 181 yards.

432 RUSHING YARDS.

That’s where we start.

In Hanks’ 79-47 win over Ysleta, the Knights piled up:

🔥 432 rushing yards
🔥 736 yards of total offense
🔥 79 points
🔥 373 rushing yards and 5 TDs from Austin Deucher
🔥 304 passing yards and 5 TDs from Jordan Morales

That’s an offense moving the damn football.

And before the quarterback throws it, before the running back breaks into the secondary, and before anybody gets their name in the box score, somebody up front has to move another human being out of the way.
