El Paso on the Move / McKelligon Canyon Challenge El Paso's Move to raise a healthier community through physical activity Today nearly 1 in 3 children and 1 in 3 adults are overweight or obese in America.

The numbers are even higher
among Hispanic and and African-American communities nearly 40%. If we don't solve this problem now, 1/3 of all children born in 2000 or later will suffer from diabetes at some point in their lives. Many others will face chronic obsity -related health problems like asthma, hypertension, heart disease. Follow us on twitter

We started 15 years ago…..and still moving forward!

The 15th Annual McKelligon Canyon Challenge 5K 2026 made its mark on another beautiful Sunday morning, thanks to our loyal runners and all the new faces who joined us for the challenge.

More than 700 runners came out, took on the challenge, and crossed the finish line! THANK YOU EL PASO!

Our race is always held on the third Sunday of September, so mark your calendars and get ready for another great year.

Save the Date: September 19, 2027.

We're a non-profit 501C3 group and we reward grants to those who sign up. For more information, contact Irish Pugao at [email protected]

We'll be posting photos this week. We're still sorting through hundreds and hundreds of shots and it takes time to sort them all out. So bare with us.
