⚾️ 🏈 🥎 Youth Sports Community, We Need Your Help 💚🧡

One of our 915 Hurricanes players, 11-year-old Victor, unexpectedly lost his beloved mother, Belinda. Tragically, Victor also lost his father four years ago and is now facing a loss no child should ever have to endure.

Belinda was a devoted mother who always put Victor first. On behalf of our team, we are asking the community to come together and help with her funeral and burial expenses, as well as Victor’s needs during this heartbreaking time.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, please share the GoFundMe and keep Victor and his family in your prayers. Let’s show him that his baseball family extends far beyond the field. 🙏⚾️

💚🧡 HURRICANES FAMILY 💚🧡

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Maryssa Contreras, a member of our El Paso youth sports community, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this week.

Maryssa was a wife, mother, and dedicated cheer coach with the Upper Valley Longhorns. She was also the uniform vendor for our Hurricanes cheer program.

While many of our Hurricanes families may not have known Maryssa personally, I was fortunate enough to call her my friend. As a fellow cheer coach, she was someone I could turn to for advice, guidance, and support. I learned so much from her, and I am incredibly grateful for the friendship we shared and the impact she had on me as a coach.

Maryssa was part of the larger community of coaches, parents, volunteers, and families who pour so much of themselves into youth sports here in El Paso. Her loss reaches far beyond one team or one organization.

A GoFundMe has been created to support Maryssa’s husband and children as they navigate this devastating loss. I would love to see our Hurricanes family come together to support one of our fellow El Paso youth sports families during an unimaginable time.

CALLING LOCAL ARTISTS & DIGITAL DESIGNERS!

915 El Paso Hurricanes Football & Cheer is looking for a talented local artist, graphic designer, or digital creator interested in partnering with our programs!

As technology continues to grow and AI-generated artwork becomes more common, we believe it is more important than ever to support the talented artists and creators right here in our own community. As a nonprofit youth sports organization, we would love the opportunity to invest back into El Paso by partnering with a local creative who can help us bring the Hurricanes brand to life.

We’re looking for someone who can assist with projects such as:

Game Day graphics
Cheer & football recruitment flyers
Athlete, team & championship recognition posters
Shirts, merchandise & apparel designs
Fundraiser graphics
Social media content
Events & special announcements
And other creative projects throughout the season!

The 915 El Paso Hurricanes Youth Sports Organization is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing opportunities for young athletes of all abilities in the El Paso community.

We respect the time, skill, and creativity that goes into original artwork and design. We are willing to discuss compensation, including project-based pricing, nonprofit rates, ongoing partnership arrangements, donated/in-kind services, or another arrangement that works well for everyone involved.

While AI can be a useful tool, we want to make a conscious effort as an organization to support real artists, local small businesses, students, and creatives whenever possible. We would love to build a long term partnership with someone who wants to grow alongside our football and cheer programs and help create a recognizable Hurricanes identity within our community.

Professional designers, freelance artists, digital artists, design students, and local creative businesses are all welcome to reach out!

🏆💗💚 12U GIRLS FLAG — CHAMPIONS!!! 💚💗🏆

A HUGE congratulations to our 12U Lady Canes Girls Flag Football team on bringing home the FIRST PLACE CHAMPIONSHIP!

These girls showed up and showed OUT! They battled through an incredible Game 1, came back ready for Game 2, and then SHUT OUT the championship game 7–0!

That takes HEART. That takes GRIT. That takes TEAMWORK.
We are so incredibly proud of every athlete, coach, parent, and supporter who poured into these girls and helped them get to this moment. They worked hard, stayed focused, trusted one another, and finished as CHAMPIONS!
