We rolled up to the starting line.

30+ cars.
All different classes.
And we’re second off in our class.

Car is ready.
Fuel is full.
Reservoir topped off.
Co-Driver still trying to get his helmet on 😅

It’s been one hell of a morning — mechanical hiccups, last minute scrambling, driver’s meeting, suiting up… but when you’re sitting at that line, none of that matters anymore.

All you see is dust.
All you hear is engines.
All you feel is that switch flip inside.

👉 Time to get clean air.
👉 Time to execute.
👉 Time to send it.

200 miles in the desert.
No excuses.

So here we are…

We finally got the knuckle.
But it’s about midnight on Friday night…
And we’re racing in about eight hours.

And guess what?

👉 We ain’t racing unless this gets replaced.

Old knuckle off.
New knuckle ready.
Tie rod bolt stuck.
No press.
No torch.
No fancy shop tools.

Just us…
A cold desert night…
And a camper stove 😅🔥

Because when you don’t have a press, you improvise.
When you don’t have a torch, you adapt.
When you’ve got a race in the morning… you make it happen.

It’s cold.
It’s late.
We’re tired.

But the attitude? 💯
The determination? 💯
The will to line up on that start line tomorrow? 💯

This is the stuff nobody sees.

It’s not just racing.
It’s late nights.
It’s busted knuckles.
It’s problem solving in the dirt.
It’s doing whatever it takes to get to green flag.

After pulling out at 11:30 PM…
After an all-night push…
After caffeine, headlights, and pure determination…

👉 We made it. Safe and sound.

And when we rolled into the track?

Not. A. Soul. In. Sight. 😎

Just us.
The desert.
And the calm before the storm.

This right here is one of my favorite moments of race week…

• Unloading in the quiet morning air 🌅
• Setting up camp
• Getting the trailer dialed
• Laying out tools
• Checking the car one more time
• Mentally shifting from “travel mode” to race mode

No chaos.
No crowd.
Just focus.

Now it’s time to get camp locked in and start prerunning.
Time to learn the course.
Time to feel the terrain.
Time to get ready to send it. 😈

🏁 RACE WEEK REALITY CHECK 🏁

You know how we said we were gonna leave around 4–6 PM yesterday?…

Yeah… we should know better by now 🤦‍♂️😂

It’s 8 PM…
And we’re STILL at the shop…

But not working on the race car ❌
Working on the TRAILER ✔️

Because what’s race week without:
🔧 Last minute parts
🛠️ Emergency repairs
😤 Replacing trailer fenders
📦 Loading tools we forgot we needed
☕ Questioning life decisions
⛽ Running on caffeine & bad ideas

We didn’t end up pulling out until about 11:30 PM last night… and from there it was straight send mode through the entire night 🌙🚛💨

No hotels.
No sleep.
Just headlights, highway lines, and the goal of making it to our FIRST RACE OF THE YEAR.

But that’s racing…

It’s never just the car.
It’s the trailer.
It’s the truck.
It’s the parts.
It’s the people.
It’s the CHAOS behind the scenes that nobody sees 👀

After an all-night push…

👉 WE MADE IT.

Now it’s time to unload, regroup, and get ready to throw down at the El Paso 200 with

While most people are asleep, SRDT – Shenanigans Racing Development Team is still in the shop turning wrenches, dialing in the race program, and making sure every bolt is ready for the next green flag. 🔧🏁

Late nights. Loud tools. Big goals.
