Well, it wasn’t quite the return we were hoping for, but it was a brick in a new foundation, and you can’t build off of nothing! Regardless, lots of smiles and laughs were had, and that’s all that really matters! 💙

When Jennifer first bought Spider, she was one step shy of feral, and loaded with anxiety about…everything😂 In the years since, she has done an incredible job of bringing her along. This year, I’ve been privileged to put some undersaddle miles on her, and the groundwork Jennifer laid has made my job so uncomplicated!

This week, my oldest kiddo (who doesn’t ride often) went for their first solo ride on Bella. I bought Bella in 2004, just shy of her 2nd birthday. I started her under saddle back when I had no clue what I was doing, and then we learned the ins and outs of the jumper ring together. She went through all the trials and tribulations of my working student years with me, and was the horse I started my professional career on. Since that time, she has taught countless riders, and given confidence back to so many. It was an incredible feeling, realizing a horse I trained, from start to finish, is now teaching my tiny human🥰

You’ve heard of a ‘foster fail’, but have you ever heard of a ?😂 Brio never quite made it to the open market. Between Bailey not being able to produce a foal, and then a diagnosis of an autoimmune condition, it just made sense to hold off on listing him. Now, he just brings me endless joy, and even my kiddos love his quiet and sweet nature💙 Plus, he’s really tolerant of my riding while I get back into jumping😅
