This morning our athletes competed at the Tolton Catholic Invitational at Gans Creek in Columbia. It was a beautiful morning to run on the University of Missouri’s home course. In a big meet with over 50 schools represented, our guys competed well and came away with success on all 3 levels. As a team, our varsity was able to finish 9th, JV 7th & middle school 9th!

MS boys will finish practice today at 4:30

Yesterday morning the high school opened the season at the COMO Kickoff 3k at Gans Creek. We had 12 athletes compete, including 8 running their first high school cross country race, and 4 who ran 45s-2:00 faster than they ran at this meet 1 year ago!

Jr. Hudson Gernenz was our first finisher, finishing 25th & running 10:37 to improve his time from last year by 38 seconds!

Fr. Gavin Underwood made his cross country debut and went 10:40, finishing 27th overall, and the first overall freshmen in the field of 14 teams!

Jr. Evan Cornett ran 11:44, improving his time from a year ago by 2 minutes 19 seconds!

So. Marc Griffel went 11:48, nearly 1:05 faster than his time from his freshmen year!

Fr. Kaiden Willis was our 5th finisher, finishing a great race in 10:56 in his first HS CC competition!

🏈🏐📣🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ EMS Fall Sports Families,

We’re excited to get another fall sports season underway! As you begin planning for August, we wanted to share an important update.

This year, fall sports practices will begin before the first day of school, with the first practices starting Monday, August 17. MSHSAA requires student-athletes to complete 14 practices before their first competition, and this year's calendar means practices must begin prior to the start of classes.

Before your student can participate in practices or tryouts, they must have a current physical on file with the school by August 17. If you haven't taken care of that yet, now is a great time to get it scheduled.

The attached graphic includes the full practice schedule for each fall sport along with important information about what athletes should bring and where practices will be held.

We can't wait to see our Mustang athletes back in action and are looking forward to a great season. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
