Elite South 12U brings home the Silver Bracket Championship after going 5-1 at the PG Summer Nationals Tournament in Cary, NC.

Pool Play Highlights:
*Game 1 vs. SFA VA: Won 4-2
McKinley started things off for us in the circle, surrendering 3 hits and 2 runs over 3 innings, striking out 2 batters and walking 5. Chloe took over in the 4th inning earning the win. She allowed 1 hit and 0 runs, striking out 2 and zero walks.
Joslyn, Chloe, Destiny, and Hadley each collected 1 hit for Elite South. Chloe and Hadley each drove in one run and Chloe stole two bases.
*Game 2 vs. Hot Shots-Edwards: Won 9-3
Tenley got the ball in game two and earned the win, allowing only 1 hit and 3 runs over 3 innings, striking out 5 batters and walking 5.
Elite South accumulated 8 hits in the game. Tenley, Myla, Hadley, McKinley, and Shelby all batted 1.000 and Joslyn at .500! Hadley doubled in the 1st inning while Tenley tripled, and Myla hit a big in the park homer in the 2nd inning.
*Game 3 vs. Dirtbags Coastal: Lost 1-8
Our girls battled against a strong team…strung together 5 hits but just couldn’t get enough to the plate.
Hadley started the game in the circle for Elite South surrendering 2 hits and 4 runs (1 earned) over 3 innings, striking out 4 and walking 5. Chloe took over pitching in the 4th inning allowing 3 hits and 4 earned runs, with no strikeouts and 1 walked batter.
Elite South’s 5 hits came from Chloe, McKinley, Hadley, and Tenley. Chloe led the team going 2 for 2 and Tenley had a nice line drive double to center field in the 1st inning which led to her scoring the team’s only run off a single by Hadley.

Bracket Play Highlights:
*Game 1 vs. SFA VA: Won 4-2
Chloe earned the win in the circle giving up 4 hits and 2 runs (0 earned) over 5 innings, striking out 7 and walking only 1 batter. Mckinley came in to relieve the starter and finish the inning.
Quinn led the team in hitting going 2 for 2. Destiny and Quinn were a one-two punch in the lineup, each driving in one run. Joslyn also added a hit for the team going 0.500 with a single in the 2nd inning.
*Game 2 vs TLP Navy: Won 7-0
Myla dominated in the circle and earned the win for Elite South pitching a shut out no-hitter over 4 innings, striking out 7 and walking 2 batters.
Elite South amassed 10 hits in the game. Avery led the runs batted in with 2 runs and going 1-2 on the day. Chloe had the most hits battling 1.000 by going 2 for 2 while 8 of the remaining 10 players battled 0.500 to soar past TLP. Those hits were added by Tenley, Avery, Hadley, Joslyn, Myla, Quinn, Shelby, and Zoey with Hadley driving a line drive triple to center field and Shelby adding a double to right field in the 2nd inning.
*Championship Game 3 vs SFA VA: Won 11-0
Myla got the ball again and another shut out win for her team allowing 3 hits and 0 runs over 3 innings, striking out 4 and walking 2 batters. McKinley took over in the 4th inning, with 2 strikeouts and only 1 walk.
The bats were fire in the championship game accumulating 8 hits with an exciting 7 runs scored in 3rd inning. Tenley set the tone at the top of the lineup going 2-2. Zoey packed a hard punch with an in the park GRAND SLAM to left field in the 4th inning. Avery, Joslyn, Myla, Quinn, and Destiny all came through to bring 1 hit each with doubles from Avery and Destiny.

It was a HOT tournament and great outing for Elite South, and we look forward to the next one the final weekend of this month. Huge thanks to our amazing coaches for their commitment to the success of our girls both on and off the field!

It was a full weekend of softball at the PG Spring World Series tournament in Rocky Mount! Elite South went 2–2, not finishing as well as we had hoped but using it as fuel to grow together.

Pool Play Highlights:
*Game 1 vs. Carolina Vipers: Won 8-0
Hadley led things off in the circle, surrendering just 1 hit and 0 runs, 5 walks, and striking out 9 batters over 4 innings.
Offensively, Chloe led the team going 2 for 2 and Shelby was 1 for 1. Tenley, Avery, guest player Joanie Storey, Zoey, and Hadley were all 1 for 2 at the plate which included a triple from Avery and an inside the park homerun by Hadley.
Elite South piled up 8 hits in the game. Joslyn and Chloe each stole multiple bases with the team combining for 7 stolen bases. And not a single error was committed in the field.

*Game 2 vs. Lady Warriors Lightin: Won 9-1
Mckinley was given the ball in game two and came through with a no-hitter, allowing only 1 unearned run, no walks, and striking out 6 batters over 3 innings.
At the plate, Avery went 2-2, leading the charge. Hits also came from Joslyn, Quinn, Tenley, Hadley, and Shelby including doubles by Joslyn and Shelby, and a big triple by Quinn.

Bracket Play Highlights:
*Game 1 vs. TLP: Lost 4-10
Chloe started in the circle giving up 10 hits and 10 runs (8 earned) over 3 1/3 innings, striking out 6 and walking only 2 batters. Mckinley came in to relieve the starter and finish the inning.
Avery, Joslyn, Quinn, Hadley, and Joanie each collected 1 hit each and Avery led the team going 1-1 and one run batted in.

*Game 2 vs Carolina Cardinals Verme: Lost 2-9
Mckinley started on the mound for Elite South allowing 6 hits and 9 runs (only 2 earned) over 5 innings, striking out 4 and walking 6 batters.
Joslyn, Quinn, Hadley, and Joanie each collected one hit for Elite South. Runs were driven in by Joslyn and Joanie.

We brought our bats and defense to start the tournament but ultimately struggled defensively in bracket play. Back to the diamond to practice and get better and stronger for the next opportunity to play together! As always, thank you to our amazing coaches for their patience, leadership, and dedication to our girls on and off the field!

It was an incredible weekend of softball at the PG Swing Into Spring tournament in Elizabeth City! Elite South went 3–1, finishing as runner-ups to High Voltage.

The girls battled all day and showed up at the plate, racking up an impressive 34 hits. Avery Tyler led the charge with an outstanding .875 batting average, while Joslyn Richards had a huge day hitting .700. Myla Leonard wasn’t far behind at .625 and delivered a special moment with her first over-the-fence home run. Zoey Tripp added a strong .444 performance and Tenley Quinn contributed with a solid .400 average.

Our pitchers were just as dominant, combining for 25 strikeouts. Chloe Morris and Tenley Quinn teamed up for a shutout, and Chloe earned MVP of the bracket game for her incredible performance on the mound.

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches for their leadership and dedication, and to Meagan Richards and Candice Brock for capturing all the great moments. We appreciate you all!
